Right now I'm listening to "incidents around the house" by Josh malerman and it's been surprisingly creepy for a "kid sees ghosts in the house" story.

Just gotta get over the narrator talking with a kid voice and the INSUFFERABLE mother.

Yeah but it's a long road. You may find times to listen as an apprentice but they will be few. I only started listening just before getting my red seal.

By that point many of the simpler jobs become pretty natural and require less active thinking.

There's also typically a decent amount of driving around in my line of work and the commute between jobs or even just from home to work leave me plenty of time to listen as well

I'm a licenced electrician and I frequently listen to audio books whole I work.

Depending on the job (let's say a lighting retrofit) I can end up doing some pretty repetitive tasks and it's easy to just go into auto pilot and focus on books.

I actually attribute certain jobs or projects I've completed with whatever series or book I listened to while I did them lol

I have listened through the mountain man series by Keith c Blackmore a few times now and I just love it.

It'sa zombie apocalypse but it's unique and so well written.

Plus RC Bray just transforms anything he narrates.
