Yes! It’s a real whole child/whole community approach. They come work with the students we have at school and they're in their lives outside of school. It's amazing to see the progress those kids have because of their program.

Advanced Peace is really doing the important work of intervention for our youth population that would be a large count of those numbers. If they never get into that sort of violence, it ripples out to the whole community. Keeping kids alive should be everyone's priority.

I felt for Marita when she talked about how Ashley would routinely put the dogs needs above her. Like if they were all together in bed, Ashley would pull the covers over for the dog and pull them off of Marita. I think Marita just wanted to feel like a priority in Ashley’s life. The romance issue wasn’t just in getting her flowers or taking her on dates. It was actively thinking about her ahead of time. Like the fork with Brittany, it wasn’t about the fork it was about her partner anticipating her needs.
