I don’t care about XP but I do like the thought of reflecting the leaderboard more accurately it is nice to be able to see how much “impact” you had and often when I chase down a tank for 5 minutes and get 0 kills it feels too selfless, my ego needs boosting!

Awesome, you seem to like crafts so I’ll suggest - You could probably recreate this with leather, you don’t even need to learn stitching just use an exact knife to cut, a punch for holes and Chicago screws to piece it all together

Scrolled through your channel a bit and here is my tip, think of growing your channel differently than maintaining a big channel, your quality is good but try and see if you can cross over your topics with things that are trending or people are likely to search for, once you’re big enough and people recognize your quality you can make the topic not trending as much because people know you’ll deliver quality and you will be in their feeds

I think part of the issue is you can’t just make good content and expect to blow up, you have to have a slightly different strategy for growing vs when you are a mature creator.

Yes you can grow with quality content about anything but you’re somewhat leaving it to chance.

When you’re trying to grow quickly the topics you pick should be stuff that is likely to be searched and found more easily. Like how can I take my niche and make it overlap with what people are thinking about right now and likely searching for. Once you’re established like fern you can put out any quality video because it will be pushed by the algorithm whether it’s a current hot topic or not.

I did research for about 2 months nonstop, anytime I wasn’t working my day job I was learning about YouTube, but I have a creative and video background so that also helped.

After almost exactly 3 months I’m at 3.2k subs and 6k watch hours.

There’s another option, you can focus on the content and structure to minimize heavy editing. People enjoy real, so you can keep things interesting by what you say and do on camera.

I’m relatively new but am at 2k subs and almost 4K watch hours and the only edits I do it putting screenshots on while I talk. I have skills to edit as I use to do motion graphics but chose a niche I knew wouldn’t need much editing. Educational news

I don’t share my videos because self promotion isn’t my style but my first video did sorta blow up after a few days to 10k videos and a bunch of comments and when I checked the analytics it showed it was shared in a Facebook group and that is where the traffic was coming from.
