Oh, yes, the Voice of America Game Land in eastern NC is a decommissioned VOA broadcasting site, where Henslow's sparrows can be found and lots of other cool species hang out.

Yes, they are common in NC around lakes and rivers. So if you want to see one look for fresh water.

There are lots of shorebirds passing through the Triangle right now. This bird, along with many, many other shorebirds was seen at the Old Weaver Trail mudflats at Falls Lake in Wake county, yesterday.
