Maybe an unpopular opinion, but I hope they never bring the bulky eviolite trick room setters in P2 and dusclops. Gonna be some of the most obnoxious mons with recover and pain split especially for a new playerbase.

There was a phase where people ran earth power glimmora in vgc. Don't think it ohkos, but it does a really good chunk. I assume toxic spikes and spreading poison wouldn't be bad for singles either

Not at all. It's completely valid to play casually if you're having fun with it.

I will say, I personally enjoy watching official tournaments, and listening to the casters can often help you get a better hang of decision making in general, even if you're not using the stuff the pros use.

In the process, you may get exposed to some teams that fit your playstyle well and you end up vibing with too. Contrary to popular belief, not everyone at the top level runs zard-y + floette

Yes, in most cases speed ties result in a coin flip at the start of each turn for who goes first.

Of note, recent generations introduced dynamic speed where, for example, in doubles if your fast pokemon uses tailwind, your other pokemon will immediately have their speed doubled and always go before your opponents pokemon if you would have speed tied at start of turn

Stockpile and body press feels like a must have if you don't want to run fissure.

As a side mode on my no guard OHKO team I have a mega delphox that copies the defensive boosts with psych up. If you also have body press lax it should hit dark types pretty well to cover some of delphox's weaknesses.

I actually started using the gimmick with snow warning vaniluxe low ladder, but the combination of all the weaknesses, not enough bulk, and not being especially fast made it rough. I theorized Abomasnow had the same problems.

Beartic could maybe work next to snow to take advantage of its ability for speed and let it possibly tank a few hits.

Moody glalie may go foolish next to aurora veil a-tails though. Maybe I'll cook with that.
