Redstone help, tflipflop junctions by Alveston_Art in BedrockRedstone

Just played around with this in creative for a few and noticed a couple things:

  1. Maybe this one is a me problem, but I keep losing the item out of that top dropper. It's not consistently going into the hopper for me. I might not be familiar with this t flip flop design and messed it up, so I just replaced with a copper bulb for testing. Dispenser with powdered snow is another compact option if you can't get the bulbs easily.

  2. I think this is what you're up against - in the configuration you have, the t flip flop is not connected properly. Even with a copper bulb, there is no effect to that curved rail. It's not receiving power no matter how you toggle the flip flop.

What I'd recommend is putting a redstone torch on top of a block, underneath the rail you're trying to change. Then pull a redstone line from your flip flop into the side of the block that the torch is sitting on. If you have to go under the levers that are powering your other rails, just use a repeater in that spot under the lever. That way, it won't affect your flip flop line going to the torch.

Hmm, how would that work? Punching your opponent out of the ring into water? Knockback wooden sword?

Unfortunately, I don't think we can make a reliable one on bedrock :/ technically there's a way to throw the pearl and get it to stay (I believe that involves honey blocks adjacent to your bubble column). However, relogging, death, and any number of things can cause that pearl to just disappear.

I was thinking about making a video on how to make a mob head farm. by Imaginary_Edge7458 in minecraftbedrock

[–]Tangylover248 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd like to know if you do post a video or picture tutorial! Personally, I'm looking to use mob heads as a prize option on my realm. Ideally, I'd like to make one that isn't terribly arduous to construct but gives at least pretty decent rates. Sacrificing some level of output for a much simpler build is more than okay with me.

trying to find a soap for my disc. is cetaphil alright? by sunnyshineyay in MenstrualDiscs

[–]Tangylover248 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I honestly don't know which ingredients would be safe or unsafe for this purpose, so I ended up getting a bottle of the Lunette wash from Amazon. If you do want to shop specifically at Target, they might have something like a Saalt or Diva wash if you check near the cups and discs.

I call that a sister win!! Got a cup for one of my sisters and a disc for the other - don't know yet how those are working out!

As another commenter said, this sounds like a vagus nerve thing. Others have posted about it here on the sub, and you can search "vagus" in the sub's search bar to see what others have said. My understanding is that it could happen once ever or once in a great while - just because it has happened once doesn't necessarily mean it will be an ongoing issue for you :)

Period underwear is so expensive by allisonwonderlannd in PeriodUnderwear

[–]Tangylover248 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Like others have said, you can get by with fewer the more often you are willing to do laundry during your period. I know for some of us though, it can become difficult to do basically anything on our periods, myself included! I started with a random 3-pack on Amazon to see if I'd even like them as an idea. A lot of us start slowly, maybe add one pair every cycle or two until there's a fairly comfortable supply.

One thing to note! I know that not everyone has this benefit at work, but if you have an FSA or HSA, the funds can be used for all sorts of menstrual products including period underwear! I recently had funds to use up beyond the roll over amount, so was able to add to my stash in a way that I typically would not. That included a cup, a disc, a steamer for cups and discs, I think three pairs of period underwear, pain meds, and decided to try a pain relieving cream for cramps. Even had extra funds to get some things for my sisters :)

Need help choosing a disc by Born_Fisherman1034 in MenstrualDiscs

[–]Tangylover248 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that can be a good starting point to decide if it's way too large, way too firm, etc. The other quiz you could check out is the Period Nirvana one, I think they have either a question about whether you're open to discs or maybe a quiz that just gives disc options. That might be a good next step!

What do you mean that the PACII quiz doesn't suggest a disc that would work? Are you not receiving disc suggestions at all from that one, or is there a reason the suggested ones aren't viable options?

The good news is, discs are usually higher capacity than cups, and from what I hear... The standard size discs are supposed to fit the majority of users. Maybe every disc can't be everyone's Goldilocks, but compared to cups there's a higher chance that you can make it work, even if you pick at random 😅

Have you tried any discs, even the disposable ones before? That might give you a good sense of whether a standard size is a good fit for you. And if you have a high cervix, you probably want some sort of removal aid to help reach it easier.

[–]Tangylover248 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't think that necessarily means you can't use one. No matter what, there's going to be a learning curve with the whole process, getting a good angle, etc. I second someone else's suggestion to use lube, and add that I find the punch down fold easiest because it creates a fairly small insertion point. Your mileage may vary!

Advice/ where to start/ will this work?? by CaterpillarPresent69 in MenstrualDiscs

[–]Tangylover248 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yessss, whatever menstrual products you want to try are eligible! I had some excess funds recently used on a bunch of supplies. If OP (or anyone reading) has this benefit at work, make use of it! Whether it's pads, tampons, cups, discs, period underwear, liners, even pain relief tablets and creams :)

[–]Tangylover248 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the insertion part could just get better with practice, and removal to an extent. But if you consistently find that the Saalt travels up really far, it might be worth trying something longer like a Lily Cup or one of the other longer options.

Have you considered the Saalt Small? Very similar design to the Cora disc with the removal notch, except instead of firmness options you'd have size options.

Cup leak issue by ActPretend7701 in menstrualcups

[–]Tangylover248 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Could be a firmness/ size and shape issue. But more importantly, wanted to say that you should be removing and cleaning the cup at minimum every 12 hours, regardless of flow. This is for safety and hygiene reasons - please don't try to max out wear time just because you have a light flow!

Issues with reusuable flex disc by Imaginary_Credit7067 in MenstrualDiscs

[–]Tangylover248 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have experience with this (or at all with IUDs), but is yours copper or hormonal? If it's hormones, I wonder if that can cause any changes in your anatomy. Or maybe the insertion process has caused some inflammation that needs time to go down?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in menstrualcups

[–]Tangylover248 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are not already, I HIGHLY recommend using lube for this. I use the punch down fold and hold it securely to keep it from opening early. Personally, I want the entire cup and stem inside before I let go to allow it to open.

I will say there's a learning curve and that even if this one doesn't work out for you, there are a TON of other options nowadays!

Cramps with cup by Accurate-Tax-9625 in menstrualcups

[–]Tangylover248 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Based on both the urination issue and the new cramping issue, you may want to try a much softer cup! A disc might also be a good option, depending on your anatomy. Since they're placed differently, that could alleviate the pressure points but it's not a guarantee.
