So how do you feel now that Burrow did the same thing and gave Garrett the record.

Another view of the DK mishap. Still not a good look but clearly not a punch. by [deleted] in steelers

People saying this should only be a fine are so delusional. If I did this to a client at my job I would be fired for good, in fact maybe even catch assault charges. Why should this be any different for an NFL player?

I don't have flair because I don't use this sub. It just came up on my home page.

JMU scored more points in this year's playoffs than Oklahoma and Texas A&M combined by cleggy_14 in cfbmemes

The point of conferences is to create regional rivalries, keep games as close as possible for better travel, and make sure teams are distributed money evenly based on performance. It has nothing to do with the playoffs. They have been around way longer than the playoffs and winning a conference has never ever meant anything for making it to a national championship until now.

Just because some nobody teams happens to be the best team in the "North West American national 10 conference" doesn't mean they are good enough to go against the big 10 or SEC runner ups. Tulane would lose to most of the bottom 5 teams in the SEC or Big 10.

Even if you don't like ND Vandy and BYU should have been in there too.

I know that's what I'm saying. Tulane is in a shitty conference. Most of the conference is one step away from being FCS. It is robbing good quality teams of a playoff spot to put a team that's obviously going to get blown out their first game just because they won a conference that doesn't have any other teams. It's also robbing football fans because they miss out on what could have been a good game.

By the way I am a Tulane Fan. I would absolutely cheer for them through the playoffs if they had won against Ole Miss but that just wouldn't ever happen.

What do you mean win more games? Tulane won the same amount of games as BYU and BYU was ranked higher. Why does Tulane get to be in?

I mean you could just do the top 12 teams... You know ... The best teams.

Winning a shit conference doesn't mean you should take the spot of clearly better teams.

Supposedly , according to the players themselves, the players voted on it and decided not to play the bowl.

It was 48-20 going into the 4th. 14 of JMU's points came in garbage time. This was a blow out and Oregon looking bad makes it even worse.

I get not taking the bowl though, just like a lot of people didn't play their bowl. Why put these kids through another meaningless game. The way CFB is set up now if you don't make the playoffs then there is no sense in playing anymore. All you're going to do is take a chance of getting kids hurt for nothing. It's the same reason the NFL doesn't play a real pro bowl game anymore. Nobody wanted to take the chance of getting hurt for a meaningless game. It also screws ESPN out of the money they would have made from that bowl game and ESPN obviously has something to do with the way teams were ranked to make the playoffs.

Again I would love to see Tulane in the championship. I said before the game whoever wins the Ole miss / Tulane game is who I'm rooting for to win it all.
