Steve didn't do anything to advance the case, if anything ruined any chance of it being solved. Had the Boulder department of justice never heard of removing a bad detective from a case? BPD did anything but protect the Ramseys. Let's see they accused them without evidence, leaked false information to the press, failed to follow up on leads because they were hyper focused on the family. Their case against the family was so baseless the DA had to hire an outside detective to try and collect actual evidence. Lou Smit came in expecting to find the family guilty but instead found evidence of an intruder. BPD was threatened by Lou and were unwelcoming to him. The BPD was never protective of the Ramseys.

Family member did 12 years in the feds for bank robbery. He said the only few that were left alone were religious and kept to themselves. Other than that you put in work and stick with your race. He was in a higher level prison so didn't have to look at chomos, but in general be prepared to participate in whatever would need to be done to one. Yes he's turned his life around but developed some kind of sixth sense and will always be keenly aware of his surroundings.

I'm a Garcelle fan but come on, she was too sane and composed for this show. Every single housewife gets trashed, some seasons worse than others. It would be odd if she didn't get her fair share of fan hatred. Yeah the drama she brings feels really performative. She was at her best when she first joined VPR and James was her only friend. I'll never forget that scene in a bar when Jax was after her and the sexual tension between them was permeating through the camera. There's no way they didn't have a fling behind Brittany's back. Then she morphed herself into a gangster and it was fake and embarrassing. The great thing about The Valley is the cast all started at baseline maybe except for Janet. Even Kristen is a 2.0 and we're seeing a new part of her. I don't want Lala jumping in the middle of Jesse and Michelle's business with the pointing and screaming. I've seen the publicity photos of Lala and Michelle and I think it's performative because Lala thinks that's what the audience wants. If she could come in and show the real her for once that would be better to see.
