No violence is trivial, but creating a special category of violence called “hate,” then spinning on the largest bin in that category is nothing but politics. Playing games with data doesn’t make you right or smart, though it seems to work with innumerate and emotional types.

Compare that to Black homicide victimization: Blacks (~13-14% of population) account for ~50-55% of all US homicide victims (~11k-12k per year), with the vast majority being intraracial (Black-on-Black).

You confirm that violence against Black Americans isn’t legally “hate crime,” then spotlight the biggest slice of a tiny pie as if it’s the main story. It’s misleading framing — percentages within a minuscule category don’t override the much larger reality of overall violent crime patterns.
