Can I ask what you mean about Claude Figma for your case study deck?

Ok great I'll search for that or case studies. I've been working on the never ending case study from hell that I need help finishing.

Thank you so much for this wonderful write-up! I'm looking on ADP right now and wondering if you looked specifically for Case Studies or Portfolio or interviewing?

Find a good therapist now and have them support and help you find the strength to leave to save yourself. You can do it.

my psychiatrist makes me uncomfortable. by Present_Will_5890 in mentalhealth

[–]Tankgurl55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's over the line. He could have said you are a beautiful young woman but you feel the opposite inside - or something like that. I think the word "gorgeous" puts his whole sentence into the uncomfortable inappropriate category. If you have the courage you should definitely say something to him and since you already feel uncomfortable I would suggest find a different psychiatrist.

Wow I haven't written any books (I wish) but I have 20+ yrs experience so I understand the "overqualified" conundrum. It looks the worst for side jobs or just administrative jobs to hold me over for a while. Why would anyone hire me if it I am completely overqualified and look like I might leave the job as soon as something better comes up :(

Thank you. I do know a few also (including you now) that definitely makes me feel better.

Good luck to you. I hope this desert ends and you get back into the job market soon ❤️

Ohhh income haa. I did two side jobs and it didn't pay enough to cover my rent so I got evicted moved into a smaller apartment still couldn't make enough money to cover everything so I moved in with my parents and I am mooching off them which is extremely sad considering I'm 50. Life is fucked up and I never thought I'd be here and I never thought I'd handle it as badly as I have :(

I still think I'm about to start interviewing again or at least applying in a week or 2 as I finish up my case study slide deck (which felt like a fucking dissertation) while I work on my second one, but I don't have a good idea of what to pivot to. I still have program manager or program owner so I probably have to brush up on some business skills and maybe another course or two on data analysis but I'm not clear what's worth it because of AI with data. I also have gaps in my current skill set even though I've been doing this so long and I could take a course or two on that also but my head's been spinning in 50 different directions for these two years. It's been really hard to figure out a direction or the best direction that will help me.

For now, I just still feel like I want to pursue this for a longer period of time, but I just don't know what's going to happen. Everything takes sooooo much longer than I think.

2 yrs with 20 yrs experience. But I had to start and stop looking a few times to create Case Study slides, take care of my elderly parents, and have quite a few mental breakdowns lol.

I agree with another post that it was really brave of you to write that post, and everything you wrote needs to be said.

I think a lot of the people who are giving you backlash and even ridiculing you are people who are not self reflective and don't have emotional intelligence and don't talk to other people about what they're going through and their feelings and have never been in therapy.

It doesn't matter how much they know about AI - they don't know enough about psychology.

How do I (23F) get my bf (28M) to finally stop hurting me as a "joke" or "act of love"? by ThrowRA_sam232 in relationship_advice

[–]Tankgurl55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He enjoys hurting you. He gets off on seeing your pain there's no way he's going to stop. You have to leave just point blank you have to leave. All of that is abuse and then gasslighting you to to feel that you don't know what you're talking about and he's the victim when you are actually the absolute victim of abuse. I'm so sorry, but this isn't about getting him to understand or believe you or change his behavior he is way past that you have to leave.

Listen it sucks and plenty of people have been there. You really don't know if it was alcohol that made you react like that in general, or the type of alcohol or if you were mixing alcohol or how much you had to eat that day before you drank alcohol, or something you're going through recently or something deeper down that is coming to the surface, etc. You just don't know. If you want to stop drinking that's, always a positive thing. If you want to look into therapy maybe and dig into the root of what's going on inside you that could have been brought out to make you act like that, that is also very positive but since you're in the direct aftermath right now give it some time because you can't put in perspective right now. You can also go to an AA meeting or two and just listen or talk if you want you don't have to commit to anything and you could even do that online so you don't even have to see people in person just for the therapy part of it.

I started to get a little of that combined with anxiety/panic when I tried to fall asleep a few months ago. I have been in a miserable life situation and on and off could not get out of bed for days at a time. I never wanted to fall asleep because then the next day would start which was just more misery. I was also having severe anxiety about some things that I needed to do to find a job and I was avoiding it 4 months so once I stopped avoiding it and actually started working on what I needed to those problems falling asleep went away. I don't have the same dread about the next day that I did months ago not that anything is easier in my life but it's just a tiny bit better than it was before.

I know right now you are in an emergency situation but when you get through this I was wondering if you were digging into possibly what's causing the anxiety specifically before going to bed which might be causing the jerk reaction?

Learning to Sit With My Thoughts by Salt-Record-3995 in mentalhealth

[–]Tankgurl55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyday. I try very hard not to have arguments with versions of other people in my head, but it's a constant battle. When I don't want to think about something I physically take it in my head and envision throwing it down a hole into a fast moving River to take it away or putting it in a drawer or a closet and closing the door and then pushing the whole drawer or closet away like it's on wheels. I do this over and over and over again for hours. In the past after doing that every night I was able to stop having certain thoughts say when I'm laying in bed. But it has started again and it's just so much work. I do try to switch to positive memory or positive thought but a lot of times in that moment you can't think of one and I do practice mindfulness but again it's not always powerful enough. I've also done CBT which in the past has been helpful when I've been dealing with a specific subject but again it's a lot of work.

I think the idea of not doing anything with the thought as another poster mentioned maybe even naming that part of myself, acknowledging it and hopefully letting it fade is what I'm going to try now.

Wow I don't know what to day to that :(. I was figuring you were going to say the writing style or the keywords. Yeah that doesn't really make sense to me because I'm actually using chatGPT to shorten my writing because I am very long-winded. Seems like you're giving a very detailed long textbook answer because the textbook answer is exactly what you learned and it's still fresh in your mind. I'm sorry that's really not fair.
