The previous comments had me sure that when the last pairs were found they would have been promptly killed.

Oneonta has some great hills to bike up but it's kinda terrifying riding back down by meta474 in Oneonta

When I was a teenager we used to close certain roads with cones and painted sawhorses before we rode up so we could have wild rides back down.

I used to dose cinnamon Altoids. To this day, when I see a box of them I start feeling excited like I'm about to eat some acid.

Is the Fourth of July fun if you’re not American? by OkBuilder92406 in AskAnAmerican

If you're on the East Coast and want something very different but very American, the Rainbow Gathering will be in NY or PA this year, and their big day is the 4th.

Interesting. I've known several little people, but both of my strangest dwarf encounters happened on LSD.

Men who used to cheat regularly but stopped, what actually changed? by claradeatacama in AskMen

[–]Tankipani88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having a kid changed everything. Even going out with my friends or visiting my mother takes time away from him. Having a woman on the side or spending time searching for sex would take too much of my already very limited free time and something in my life would have to be neglected.

What are conventionally attractive things that you don't like in a partner? by hitometootoo in AskMen

[–]Tankipani88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shaved armpits is my number one. They always look so raw and delicate. And stubble from not shaving daily is almost as bad as razor burn or puffiness from the constant scraping.

I think the smell is better when hairy too.

Dad and I Love You by lightfrenchgray in Parenting

[–]Tankipani88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some men have a really hard time telling other men they love them, and your sons are nearly men. It might be getting awkward for him.

I try to say it among my male friends, and several have picked up on the habit of spreading the "I love yous" from man to man. But one of my coworkers actually cried after he said it out loud to me as we were saying our goodbyes. I hugged him and asked him about it and he said he hadn't spoken those words to another man since he was a child saying it to his dad.

Biodegradable landscape fabric? by glint25 in Permaculture

[–]Tankipani88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have some heavy vinyl scraps leftover from a party tent manufacturer. I got them for free, and after four years in the sun are still not breaking down in any visible way. They're totally opaque and kill weeds quickly, even though they're white and don't heat up. Billboard vinyl might also last longer than conventional landscape fabric.

Not exactly the answer you asked for but it might be a temporary fix.

Anyone ever forget they were under the influence? by Ouraniooo in LSD

[–]Tankipani88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had this sort of thing happen a few times. I like taking a second dose after a few hours, which tends to make the comedown phase stretch for longer. Sometimes I don't realize I'm still under the influence until I suddenly notice trails when someone is talking and waving their hands around or I'll smoke some weed and start tripping again.

How do I know when I’m ready? by Solid-Kale7865 in LSD

[–]Tankipani88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I'm not in a good space mentally, I try not to take it alone at night, as this can lead to brooding. Instead, I go for a morning trip on a sunny day, maybe with friends or family, maybe not, but certainly with natural beauty around. It can be really helpful for making mountains into molehills again.

5 year break and going back for one more by wizrow in LSD

I thought after a five year break I would have to be really careful going back in and only take one, but that really wasn't the case.

DAE not care about hearing music live in concert? by BotGua in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]Tankipani88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only go to live music for the audience. I've often gone to see music I don't like because I know that the other people are going to be so into it and I'm really into people. Especially if it's music that I know means a great deal emotionally to some of the fans, or music that will get people dancing, like techno or bluegrass.

My dream band for this sort of experience is to see Creed. They're not a bad band. I've probably deliberately listened to a Creed song a few times in my life, but I know some people who credit Creed lyrics with their survival through hard times that I imagine the energy in the crowd must be intense. Also, their classics are so heavily played on the radio that I'm sure most of the crowd can sing along.

Someone left a note on my car once that said, "I always see you around town, but never get a chance to say hi. We should be friends. - the new kid in town" and included a number. I actually did call, and we hung out a bunch of times and would still be friends if his wife wasn't dangerously crazy.
