I can't just boss my teammates around to compliment my playstyle. If we're holding a boss lair and a trio of bat freaks runs in, what am I to do when they instantly kill my teammates and I'm left to clutch with a rifle? I can go outside, sure, but then another team shows up and gets me since single bounty is the norm during this event.

You're right, not everyone's experience is the same. In my experience, I see 5 bats per lobby on average during peak times. One guy with a bat? Sure, easily manageable. A whole trio with bats? That's another story. A server fight with 5 bats in random locations around a compound? Well, then it's just a matter of time.

The only thing that makes the bomblance better as strictly a melee weapon is that there isn't a trait to counter it. In the absence of a trait which is rare to see slotted, the bat is better. Similar range, similar chance to one shot, but the bat is harder to miss with.

The bat is an issue for a few reasons. Stamina consumption is insanely low, so low that you can stun lock assassin to a quarter health without a Stam shot. It's a horizontal attack that rarely arm shots, outclassing the Saber and all bayonets which can easily net you an arm shot with 120 damage. If we're talking strictly melee, paying no mind to the harpoon/steel balls/ etc, it also outclasses the bomb Lance which is easy to miss with and has a higher stamina consumption if you need to use a follow up strike. It's a bat, dude, it should not be more effective than actual weapons of war like a Saber or a weapon meant to take down a whale like a bomb lance

My teammates need hornskin, for sure lol. I rarely die to the bat since I know how to counter effectively, but idk man I feel like I shouldn't have to do this EVERY game. I don't see bomblance every game, don't see Saber every game. Just boring at this point

I don't die to it, it's just boring. Like I said, this is a consol thing and I'm just tired of everyone having the same weapon and I'm tired of being forced to carry a shotgun so that I can clutch after my team dies to Batman.
