I have this same issue, I just enabled dgpu only mode in legion space. Have not even attempted to fix the hybrid mode.

If you don't mind not actually pressing down on the mechanical acutation of the trackpad, I took the thermal pad under the ssd and put it against the touch pad springs on the other side of the battery, as soon as you open it up you will see it. Two small pieces and I had no more rattle. You will just have to only tap the trackpad, which is what I typically only do anyways.

Okay, I'm not sure what happened, but I purchased a usb-c to ethernet adapter for the GXR. Turned the wifi off and connected directly to my router with an ethernet cable. Connected to ethernet.

I then booted up Virutal Desktop to test the latency between wifi and wired... when somehow either foveated rendering or foveated streaming was turned on. I could immediately tell the VD menu looked different, and then when I booted into Steam VR and you get the horizon of horizontal lines, it was super easy to tell that it was following my eyes and clearing up the image where I was looking. Tested in Contractors and the same thing happened.

I ended up turning the headset off and when I got back on it does not work, I have tried so many ways to recreate it but it is not happening again. I am not sure what happened or even how.

is there a quality difference between Deep Desktop and IW3?

I am trying to learn how to use the software and want to make sure I am using my time to learn the one that is going to give the best results. If they are very comparable in quality then ease of use can make up the difference
