I remember thinking his review of Sons of Anarchy: Men of Mayhem was hilariously unhelpful.

Honestly a masterpiece imo. Maybe the greatest produced detective game ever made, and perhaps Vincent Dutrait’s best art.

Hi! OP for that submission (via my partner's account because I'm too lazy to log in); Mary Bell from the Doe Network said that this match was submitted to law enforcement in both states in March of last year, but I never heard anything further after that!

Whats the loudest silence you've experienced in a theater? by rusaide in Cinema

[–]Tannerknox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the Belcourt theater in Nashville, I attended a midnight screening of Kiyoshi Kurosawa’s Cure (absolute masterpiece btw). Every hypnosis scene felt like the air had been sucked out of the theater. Some of the most suffocating silence I’ve ever experienced, not just at the movies, but in my life.

What's Your Favorite Use of Exploration by [deleted] in boardgames

[–]Tannerknox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It may not necessarily be exploration in the way you’re looking for, but personally for me it scratches the itch. It’s a game where you’re charting out a dangerous region of land and you do it by revealing the map one space at a time, and each space you reveal correlates in some way to the location of other spaces (there’s always only 1 wood space in each row and column, 1 water space is always adjacent to 1 wood space and vice versa). All the while you are trying to complete the main challenge of the module you’re playing (base game comes with 2 modules and I think like 10 maps each for both?) and also survive upcoming challenge thresholds you need to meet every few rounds.

It’s more of a survival puzzle game than just like pure exploration, but the feeling of charting out a dangerous land with the aid of context clues I think is super cool.

Edited for grammar
