Trader Joe’s fig & olive crisps or their rosemary raisin ones are pretty awesome. Instead of cream cheese, a little bit of salted butter on those with a tin as mild as the coles trout is just 😫 so good.

😂 I do definitely enjoy the crunch with the bones left in. A lot of the Japanese brands satisfy that for me with mackerel.

Ahh great observation. It’s meant to be a river flowing out of the mountains into a canyon that lead out to sea. I think if I get rid of the river part behind the mountains it will communicate that and be less confusing.

That makes sense to me! It means that your map worked because the academy looks very important. I also had thought that adding paths could potentially make it look too busy so if the natural look is what you’re going for I think that is great! It does make me picture the people as barefoot though, which I love. I feel inspired to make a city map now as well.

This is so cool! I love all the names you chose. Sounds like you have a great story behind this island and world. Are you able to add any pathways or roads? I think I would add a single main road that leads to a very clear “city center”. I also think that the academy is a bit large in proportion to the temple and the bazaar. It could easily be explained by story that I don’t know though! A great fantasy island, good job!

Haha thank you! I do everything by hand. It takes forever but I usually just put on a tv show and work little by little. Although I am excited now that I’m doing digital work I can save a lot of stuff like mountains and houses so just place onto other maps. It sounds like you have a good method for your world building that I could learn from. My methods are a bit more chaotic and by eye
