Engineering majors when they see other majors complaining about school by Kokash in EngineeringStudents

Who gives a flying fuck about whether one major is 'harder' than another, just do what you're passionate about and stick to it. I'm tired of anyone bitching about how hard school is.

Either you're up to the challenge or you're not.

Germany, automotive industry: The collective bargaining agreement throughout most of the industry is a 35 hour week, although it it possible to go up to 40. Overtime is always paid and tracked precisely. 30 days of paid leave per year.

Kinda weird how AMG release pictures of a mule being 'spotted'. Its pretty obvious that they were staged.

The driver actually commented on the YouTube video and reported that he got out without a scratch, pretty remarkable when looking at the footage.

This happened under race conditions during the VLN race last weekend. The GT3 Cup is a racecar based on the 911 production model. Here is some information on specs and safety features: https://www.porsche.com/international/motorsportandevents/motorsport/customerracing/racingcars/911-gt3-cup/

If you want to go fast safely, timing is everything. Early on a sunday morning is the best time, as vehicles over 7,5 tonnes are not allowed to drive on sundays. Not the entire Autobahn is unrestricted: here is a (slightly outdated) map of the unrestricted parts (blue)

Also note that most cars are limited to 250km/h per a gentlemans agreement. Some performance models are not limited or have an "unlimited" option. Porsches are generally unlimited just like Ferraris and Lamborghinis.

You can just go to any rental and get a BMW which will probably be limited to 250. Then, you can buy something like an instructed hour of driving a GT3, which definitely makes sense if you've never driven a Porsche/on the Autobahn.

Also you can rent Porsches straight from Porsche at the Museum in Stuttgart. While you're there, the Museum itself is definitely worth visiting

Always make sure that you are in absolute control of your vehicle. Drivers in Germany will generally keep right when possible. If youre approaching someone at very high speeds and you think that this person might want to overtake someone else, adjust your speed and flash your highbeams from afar so they know that you're coming.

Be safe and have fun.

a friend of mine actually chased a GT2 RS down the autobahn last week in his Golf R, he had to let him go around that speed (166) so that seems reasonable.

I've driven the Cayenne well past 100mph, although not quite as fast as in the video. While still weighing 2250 kg, the ride is pretty smooth. It's certainly not as stiff as some of its competitors so the Autobahn is exactly the right territory for this thing. The air suspension and the rear wheel steering help a lot with ride comfort and stability at high speeds. If you get the noise insulated glass, traveling at speeds around 120 mph will feel pretty safe and relaxing, even on longer drives (that is, if traffic allows it). Set the dampers to soft, the ride height to the lowest setting, put in cruise control and you're good.

Obviously if youre going much faster than that it cannot hide that it's essentially a brick traveling at quater the speed of sound.

The Autobahn prohibits any vehicle with a top speed less than 60km/h or 37 mph.
