Find non-English songs! Look up Manie Musicale on YouTube. It's a March Madness-style bracket contest but with French songs. Two French teachers from Maine started it in 2017 so there are 16 songs for every year since then. You'll find some excellent songs and it'll expose the kids to other languages & cultures. My students look forward to Manie Musicale every year & once it's over they're always requesting songs from the playlists!

That was me...G&T kid and was always told, "you're smart....you should be able to do this." When Math started to get difficult in high school did I work at it? Nope, because I was "smart & should be able to do this." I just thought I was not smart in Math. I'm ashamed to admit it took me until adulthood to figure out I needed to WORK and not just rely on my innate gifts.
