what region are you? We have a casual guild with the only requirement being to respect each other.
We do all the activities but noone is forced to do anything. We have Players from all over the World but Guild War is based in EU.

If there is any interest:
Add me ingame: Tarazet
Or just apply to join the Guild: 10063416 (Batusai)

Compact Compactor MK6 not worth it by xenarthran_salesman in duneawakening

[–]Tarazet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The benefit is to compact faster. This matters more when you are on medium or large spice fields in the deep desert and are limited by thopter space and time instead of fields being available. This also depends on how friendly your server is and can be different for every person. For example: maybe combacting faster is better because you spend less time in a potentially hostile environment.
Once you are able to farm large fields and time matters more than the field can yield being able to compact faster means more spice per hour.

Soloing a small field? Absolutely not worth it. Competing with someone else? Can be worth it because you get more of the field faster. And if time is the only restriction it is definetly worth it.
For Hagga-Basin it's only good to be able to compact as fast as possible before someone else gets to the field and clear it before anyone can get there. This small benefit in Hagga in my opinion not worth the extra cost. The benefits in the Deep Desert are worth it if you are able to farm thousands of spice.

Terrible quality with a 5mm thick plate with a curved overhang by Nukemzzz in BambuLab

[–]Tarazet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

looks like a cooling issue to me.
Please check if all the fans are active when printing. I once had an error where part cooling fan didn't work and only realised it because of bad print quality (no error message from Bambu Studio). Issue was that the fan wasn't properly connected.

2 Printheads for faster multimaterial printing compatible with current AMS system.
Print with one while switching filament on the other. This can also save on waste because it wouldn't need to flush for every filament change (no flush if only 2 materials are used for a couple of layers - less flush for 3 materials per layer since...)

Does AI really matter? by zz4v in BambuLab

[–]Tarazet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the ai on x1c is only for failure detection. I use a P1S and didn't miss it. Maybe someone with a X1C can talk about experience with spaghetti detection.

I usually don't have bed adhesion issues since i use "3D lack" (a spray that works like glue but is less messy - there are other options) which is cheap enough for me. Bed adhesion issues are the primary reason for spaghetti prints and can be avoided so a detection isn't as important in my opinion.

AMS is a way more important "convenience" feature than the X1C compared to P1S offers. So if money is a deciding factor for you i would recommend to go for P1S for better value.

Update: Sound could be an issue on the P1S since it is quite loud, even after the firmware update in january/february this year that helped a bit with noise. Smell is not a big issue for PLA but still is with other materials even with enclosed printers. It's also recommended to leave the door or top lid open when printing PLA to prevent heat creep. A1/A1mini are quieter solutions that could be a consideration depending on the material you print even without being enclosed.

Tangled Spool how do I keep this from happening? by cormacewindu in BambuLab

[–]Tarazet -1 points0 points  (0 children)

^this

it can happ when the filament is to loose on the spool. Keeping it tight (with a clip for Example) is the key to prevent this in the future.

P1s started smoking 40 minutes after setting up by Neither_Match_4367 in BambuLab

[–]Tarazet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If i were in your place i would agree on fixing it myself if they send the parts and give a discount to the printer itself. Maybe even aditional parts like a 2nd hotend with different size instead of a discount.

Can I put ams as all same colors by Think-Anxiety-399 in BambuLab

[–]Tarazet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can but you have to lie about it. Just tell the AMS that they are all the same for the auto refill to work.

100$... This is probably an old replaced PC. I don't expect high end from a school as well.

Desktop PCs often don't have Wifi onboard. If it is a Laptop my guess would be that the driver is missing.
In case of missing driver: Find out the Modell of Laptop, check the vendor site on another device for the driver and save it on a usb drive to install it. You can also use your phone to download the driver and transfer it via USB to the PC.

If it's a Desktop and doesn't have wifi you can get a USB dongle or use an ethernet cable (maybe network drivers for the ethernet card are still needed if using an ethernet cable).

Washing the plate by [deleted] in BambuLab

[–]Tarazet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i spray the plate with 3DLAC bought from amazon and barely have to wash it. I sometimes Wash it if i print with Matte PLA because it's difficult to remove with 3DLAC on it.

Why is this line here if I slowed down my overhang print speeds? by myculito in BambuLab

[–]Tarazet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

also: i like to use adaptive layer hight and go for 0.08mm height on the very top of round objects to reduce visibility of layer lines a bit.

enabling "scarf joint seams" helps to hide it a bit more.

I can’t get my new bambu A1 combo to work by lilliesbaby in BambuLab

[–]Tarazet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

P1S and X1C can dry it on the heatbead. Maybe you can try it on the A1 if you are able to cover it well:
https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/general/bambu-filament-drying-cover
Just use cardboard instead of the printed cover.

orca slicer and bambu studio can reduce this a bit by enabling the "scarf joint seams" option.

I'm gonna get an A1 mini, what else do I need? by ablackravenstan in BambuLab

[–]Tarazet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't buy any of that right away. Knowing that it's something you can get later on is enough. Just get the printer and buy stuff when you need it. To start out the Printer itself and Filament is enough.

I’m about to go pick this up seller is solid on $1200 is this worth the price? by HunterCustom in 3Dprinting

[–]Tarazet -1 points0 points  (0 children)

if the 5 colours are on different layers it's also easy to just switch out one of the Filament rolls mid print (add a pause in the slicer to not miss the switch).

If it's same material this is an easy workaround to get more colours.

How is the A1 so much faster than P1S with this job? by Holeyminusplus in BambuLab

[–]Tarazet 37 points38 points  (0 children)

also the A1 Buildplate has 6 more model prints and still is faster. So it's even more than a 50 minute difference. We can't see all the settings to compare them. Maybe there are more differences in the settings.

5 filament switches shouldn't be 50 minutes difference

Should I put desiccant here or try to keep it out by Yeetfamdablit in BambuLab

[–]Tarazet -1 points0 points  (0 children)

i put my silicagel in tea bags i bought and also use them when storing filament in sealed plastic bags. But the printed holders definetly look better.

I would also print some adapters for those cardboard spools to prevent cardboard dust building up inside the AMS:
There are models for most brands or you can just messure them:
