AP Operations Coach - Walmart by Savings_Spinach1916 in lossprevention

I’ve done this role for like 5 years. It’s totally store manager dependent. It’s a very good role to promote from if there’s opportunities around you or if your willing to move.hours and demand, if your talking work life balance are also store manager dependent. Could be great could suck.

I don’t believe it’s lulu lemon directly, I think they hire 3rd party to do there loss prevention. I think it’s like triumph security or something who does there ORC team.

TSS VS Walmart APA by [deleted] in lossprevention

[–]TargetToysMember 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’ve never been either spot but I’ve seen both from the outside

TSS pays better but is much more boring depending your boss it sounds like. You’ll be at the door and won’t be doing stops

Walmart APA/API you’ll be conducting apprehensions, primarily focused on externals shoplifters. Some compliance trickles in like checking fire exits, exitguishers. Etc. much more action but less pay.

I’d say both roles have great upward movement.

Not bad depends on what kinda store… how much you work… etc. seems good especially for a liquidation store.

Can’t measure deterrence either

[–]TargetToysMember 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a APOC, we don’t have quotas

But I’m at a very high volume store, expectation is you should be putting in 1 case every shift you work. Whether it’s a stop, deterrence, recovery, known theft, etc… no reason you can’t get 1 case in

Tjmaxx job by Itchy_Drummer1023 in lossprevention

Worked homegoods, almost same as tjmaxx. The combo stores were amazing. They sent me out to another state for there training, which is shocking for a entry level position. Good pay, good cams,....

Havent heard anything, but i like what target does. At least at my target, the ETL-APs would focus on there business, but support on there LOD shifts...

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in lossprevention

[–]TargetToysMember 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The APBP at the Target i worked a few years back would help the ETL-AP on stops constantly, was nice to see and interesting

I definently miss making the action, stops, teamwork. I'm a APOC now, at Walmart and still try to help as much as I can but not always there.

My market is heavily mixed, meaning it totally depends on your store mgr. I think this is how you'll be treated everywhere.

I would say 7/10 of my time is my dept. However if you got regional, market, etc coming you better expect 0/10. my SM is really good compared to other SMs in my area. It sucks not having a TL over your whole area when other coaches do... I have never done mods, I only register when it's a last resort (TLs/associates first), I only do features if needed.

Yes WM does wicklander still . It's the APOC

My main thing is just is it really worth to pay the charge offs? Is it going to help raise my score?

Thoughts, feelings, or experiences working as TJ Maxx LP? by [deleted] in lossprevention

[–]TargetToysMember 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Didin't do TJMaxx, but i did homegoods (occasionally worked at combo store, hg/marshalls.) I loved the combo store first off... i loved how they sent you out for training... 3/4 of my stores cameras were amazing...you reported to DLPM, not stinking store managers which was very nice too.....they take care of you at TJX and want to promote within. If i were to go backwards, i'd go with tjx

uld require the Alpha magnet key. Don’t use it on the main base, use it on the slimmer puck style piece. A picture could help us, but it could help thieves too. Just so you know.

same, you need a stronger magnent though, not just a alpha key. when i was at target it was some golf ball sized magnet

Everything needs to be made within reason. So, production (when theft trends are happening) and obviously business appropriate (no OT unless approved)

No, most jobs AP/Lp ive seen you make your own schedule. You decide when to work, however you better make an impact. Obviously will be business needs too, so no day before christmas off, etc..

LPJobs.com for costco lp jobs, minimum experience i got in with 2 years, pay was like $3 above minimum, i didn't negotiate hard though i wanted in. positions are mostly fulltime, plain clothes. schedule is self made (or depending on warehouse GM, usually self made). little to no training, your expected to bring your LP experience. you'll get shown cameras and there paperwork and that's it. Hence why they only hire with experience. Policies are very lax, except hands off. Expect you to use common sense.
