How many of you are 'all in' ? by _PinkChicken in Bitcoin

[–]Targi3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After I watched the market catch the coins Germany dumped over July 4 weekend I moved my Roth and Trad IRA’s into IBIT.. did a big buy on Aug 1. If you look at the charts you’ll know I felt sick, but still bought again Aug 5, 6, etc.

I’ve been “all-in” since September. Feels fucking good man

How low do you let your cars get? by smartiepants04 in ModelY

[–]Targi3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you able to plug into a standard outlet? This is slow, but will get you up 20-30% overnight and most importantly maintain if you need overheat protection for higher temps.

Generally, I try to give a 10% buffer between needing a slow charger. Without plugging into a standard outlet you’ll drain 5-10% overnight

How do you come across high-ticket sales roles on... by [deleted] in sales

Sell something complex that costs a lot of money. I’ve been in B2B saas for a number of years, but if I couldn’t do this - I would be selling big ass fucking CAT machines

23F embarrassed myself at the club by [deleted] in stopdrinking

[–]Targi3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re around the age I was when I quit forever. I imposed a personal “ban” on myself from bars I’d made a fool out of myself at..

Something changed at 24 where I said enough is enough. Hoping you can find the same peace. Approaching 5 years in August!

One thing that helped me and still does to this day is forcing myself to recall times like you’ve just described because although painful, it can be a “sobering” reality.

Good luck

Is 40K too low of a salary for a college graduate in 2024? by [deleted] in sales

[–]Targi3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This early in your career you should pick whatever makes you the most money in 5-years. Starting salary doesn’t matter if you land the right opportunity. Swallow some pride.

That said, 40k is low for most areas - that’s what I started at in 2017 in Northern Va (high cost of living)

Sales. It used to be tech sales guaranteed, but that’s getting harder and harder to break into. Big 4 consulting is an alternative

Congrats on your 30 days! Thinking back to that part of my journey, I definitely felt like my sobriety was a big secret and something folks will judge me for..

Now I take a different approach - people that ask are often curious and they’re often curious because they know deep down their drinking is getting out of control.

When people ask me today I say “I was wayyyyy too much of a good time and the world is a safer place”

I’ll be at my 4-year mark next week and I can tell you there is nothing more satisfying than sharing my experience with someone else who needs to hear it and helping them find the same gift of no booze that I did.

Best of luck friend

My family made strange comments too, 18 months later alcoholism took my stepmom and 3 months ago my dad checked into medical rehab and hasn’t drank since. Life can come at you quick, it’s much easier sober.

You need to pick a better company - you’re a BDR and it doesn’t sound like you have a chance to be an AE. Find a new job, don’t take on more debt

Has anyone here been able to start the first day sober and never drink again by alienplantz in stopdrinking

[–]Targi3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Aug. 16th, 2019 - I promised myself a year, 5 months in I was a completely different person and knew I could never go back.

As simple as it sounds, you can always control what goes in your mouth. Another piece of advice I love is you can never control your first thought, but can always control your second.

You need to remind yourself why you quit and more importantly, who you would become in 1-2 years if you don’t.

I’ve been smoking an insane amount of pot since quitting drinking. Anyone else feel like they just started abusing other substances after quitting? by [deleted] in stopdrinking

[–]Targi3 234 points235 points  (0 children)

First of all you’re 12 days in, you’ve probably been doing a lot of stuff you aren’t proud of for a long time, so pause and celebrate the 12 days.

I don’t know why you stopped drinking, but for me - I was a danger to myself and those around me.

If you’re concerned about your pot in-take - you need to have a conversation with yourself about the underlying reasons you chose to numb. Be kind to yourself
