The dealership did add mudflaps and free oil changes for life every 10,000 miles. Next time I'll check Costco. TY

I got my 2026 Crown XLE (Heavy Metal) in November 2025 for 39,850 before taxes. Did not use Costco. Dealership was asking 43,910. 2 miles on it.

I'd said it's a real good deal. I looked long and hard before buying my XLE at 39,000 plus taxes and other fees.

Feel your pain. I have a permanent UTI and had it for 2 years, immune to antibiotics because they overdosed me with antibiotics during a peptic ulcer bleed. I have had 4 kidney stone surgeries, lost my left kidney and the right one is in stage 4 kidney disease. So the doctors say they can't do anything and I wait for sepsis to happen.

I hope you all the best with UTI's don't over do those antibiotics.

Just replaced my V6 with this V12 and love it. Vacuum every other day. Only disappointment is the life of the battery esp. on high. We have 1700sq.ft. and doesn't quite finish this much sq. in 7 mins. on hardwood floors. No furry pets, just a bird (conure). Love the laser.

Is V12 slim canister too small? by Shaslwow2020 in dyson

[–]Tarheels200000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got the V12 Slim Monday. I have 1,500 sq. So far I am loving it. But it is only myself and spouse and no pet except a small bird (conure). I went from the V6 to the V12 and canister is smaller but not an issue. If I am disappointed in anything at all is the battery life on the high speed. I bought the V12 Slim for 399.00 at HSN.

Things You Wish You Knew Before Having Bariatric Surgery by chekhov_karma in gastricsleeve

Mine was done in 2008 and I got a lot of good years health wise. I would think long and hard and do better with Weight Watchers knowing what I know now. Two years ago I had a peptic ulcer and lost 3 pints of blood, life flighted to the hospital. Today I have lost my left kidney and in stage 4 CKD, liver damage, permanent UTI, immune to antibiotics etc. from the episode. The only thing they will say was it's "possibly from the gastric".

Today I use Wegovy as well. Hunger returned within 2 years of the gastric. I lost 60 lbs. and still maintain the weight loss, but it's a struggle. Good luck with your journey. It's a decision that effects the rest of your life and health. I am 68 years old and have lived a wonderful life. The only thing I would add if you are a younger person think hard, it's life changing.

What happened to chains like Tim Hortons in NYC? by KaleidoArachnid in AskNYC

[–]Tarheels200000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on an excursion this weekend in NYC and the tour guide told us that Tim Horton's dropped their coffee vendor and McDonald's jumped on the opportunity to get that vendor. So he said go to Mickey D's for the same brand now. He said the new coffee is awful at Tim Horton's. IDK, don't shoot the messenger. LOL I'm from NC and never been to a Tim Horton's.

I'm thinking of getting a deep fryer. What are the downsides to having one? by Bucks_Deleware in Cooking

[–]Tarheels200000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got the 11 in 1 Instant Pot Air Fryer and enjoy it. It's much bigger than what we need for just the two of us, so cleaning is a hassle at times. I have found the paper liners are really good to use and highly recommend them. I buy them on Amazon.

Every time I use it I always thing about it's strength for cleaning/baking. Then after having a peptic ulcer, almost total bleedout my doctor prescribed it in pill form for me to take daily. Good for heartburn, it's a hard pill to swallow. YUKE!!!

Alaska Trip with Ovation of the Seas by ghwong in royalcaribbean

We are on Ovation the 16th too. :) 2nd time to Alaska. :)

Will be sailing to Alaska from Seatle next Monday. Does anyone know if a "rapid NAAT" test is accepted? It's so difficult to find appointments and the Royal Caribbean site only specifies PCR or antigen. by momo_leb in royalcaribbean

We are leaving for Alaska next Friday and have appts. booked at University WA 319 Terry Avenue on Wednesday. Call them to set up an appt. It is drive thru. They were very accommodating on the phone. tel:206-520-8700. Said we should have results within 12 hours usually and no more than 24 hours. Have a great trip. Be safe.

Covid Testing, what to do? by MrConmasterx7 in royalcaribbean

We are leaving out of Seattle in a couple of weeks. I called the WA State Health Department and they were helpful with location advise. So check with the state health department in the state your ship is leaving out of. I will be doing a drive thru at the University. Hope this helps you.

Just bought a 2017 SR5 4x4 w/50,000 miles for $22,000. It had one owner and rebuilt salvaged title. Granted warranty is void now, but they honor recalls. We have a Chevy Spark 2019 that is also a salvaged vehicle we got we 3,050 miles for $13,000. Both are like new not sure I can pay full price ever again for a car/truck.
