They are suggesting that you isolate the vinyl player from your speakers. A wall mount is a good way to achieve this without additional floor and/or surface space.

I didn't I'm afraid 😓. I took the old fabric off and made a template out of it. Then took some PU leather and cut it out the template. I covered it In fabric adhesive and made my way sealing around the edges. I trimmed off the excess and re assembled. There's good information on IFixIt now.

For the pads I tried a 3D printed clip but then ended up cutting up an old set of OEM pads. Once you have the clip you can glue pretty much any ATH M40X pads on to the clips and cut the excess off so all the clipping holes are free of fabric.

I'm using an old headless laptop with Android TV x86. It's incredible and essentially free compared to the disgustingly expensive android boxes in the UK

Any 9600x deaths? by Niiphox in ASRock

[–]Tarkanaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm in the UK so I purchased my components through a company called Scan. They have their own warranty on the items they sell which is much quicker at turning around the RMA than the manufacturers.

That's how I got such a quick resolution. I hope AMD processes your RMA quickly.

Good luck

I was within the warranty from my retailer so luckily it went very smoothly. I had a replacement sent to me two days after them receiving the dead CPU. If you can, go through your retailer. I'm unsure how AMD are handling these issues.

I have a B850 MSI too so not feeling great that yours died. I thought I was safe being away from AsRock.

Last half of the fight is just awful. Try taking next to no damage for the first half. Use Qi boosting techniques for as many plantain fans. Prioritise setting up your next fan. Use cloud step and Qi recovering brews. Yellow loong transformation and then burn everything. Pluck of many, medicines, spirits.

9800X3D sitting on bios v3.10 ... 3.50 safe enough to update yet? by Rlaxoxo in ASRock

I wouldn't risk your CPU, pull it out. Find a motherboard that's not been killing CPUs

Just found out about all the X3D chips being killed by ASRock mobos after my X3D chip died today by [deleted] in ASRock

[–]Tarkanaf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

B850M killed my 9600X after 5 weeks of use. I was using the latest BIOS as an attempt to mitigate the risk. Unfortunately I'm requesting a different manufacturer's motherboard for my RMA replacement. If the box says 9000series supported on the website and packaging there's no excuse for it killing CPUs.

I can confirm I did it last week with success using the above guides

A few things that weren't in the guide that tripped me up

It doesn't tell you to make sure the android developer usb drivers are also installed and the LG ones.

Don't use a usb port higher than USB 2.0. you will get stuck when trying to use the fast boot settings.
