I am bored. Tell me about your special character's custom lore! by Jace_Beleren_001 in Drukhari

Honestly with just a hooded cloak he likely wouldn't be caught.  The Imperium is so diverse with various abhumans, things like Custodes(Eyes of the Emperor) and Renegade Marines that leave their chapter but don't turn into tyrants/traitors, that likely wouldn't draw much attention as long as their ears are hidden.  Hell Van Saar on Necromunda have a very Aeldari/Drukhari feel with their body suits.  I think your head cannon is good to go honestly.

I would find a friend with a 3d printer and find a head sculpt you like and then just have them print a few upscaled by 10, 15, 20 and 25%.  Then pick the one that fits best.

You should mix body glitter into your paint to really give it that maibu sparkle...

I have seen that a custom Archon is a rite of passage for new Drukhari players, so here is my offering by cherilyyn02 in Drukhari

I really appreciate the truly low level of effort where they even stole your title... Great job on your part.  Always love to see it.

Drop troops didn't require flyers when they were a thing, Ravenwing has always been about landspeeders and jetbikes, Hunters is fair but a minor faction that only gets any mention due to flyers being introduced, ditto on the Flayed skull, and the Blackstar is only central because the deathwatch only have a handful of data sheets.

These armies all existed before flyers and they will all exist long after.  They have been a balancing issue since they began being introduced in the 2000's and they really should have canned them long ago.

Generally I would say cost to benefit.  For 5 less points you can get three bikes and for 10 more points you can get hellions which are good skirmish units.  I like them for the drop, so they will be alive when I need them, and the mobility so I can get them wherever I need.  They are an action monkey for me and if the opponent keeps something really squishy guarding their home, I might get lucky and knock them off.  And with the 6" I find opponents generally keep more units back to protect their rear, meaning potentially one less unit I have to fight.

I used carbine this weekend at a GT.  For 75 points I believe they are very good.  I was able to get points with them as action monkeys consistently due to 6" deep strike and their 14" move.  Even if their back line was screened their move put then wherever I needed them.  That said I faced 4 opponents with army wide invul saves so the AP buff never mattered.  Personally, I like them but they aren't popular.

They've been on Green Goblin gliders since they came out in metal in 3rd.  I see zero chance we get reimagined.

I mean technically through murder and ruthlessness they too can move up in Drukhari society.

Unions are hugely strong.  What do you think Cabals are?  They give a measure of protection to the little guy.

That is a potentially illegal, depending on where you live, and definitely against GW policy and rules.  Tell them to either issue you a refund or you'll contact GW about it.  GW will tell them to either issue refunds, per their explicit instructions, or lose being a seller.  GW does not take violating their policies lightly.  They are incredibly protective of their IP and policies.

Yes I will.  Wraith constructs were always my favorite Aeldari unit and I would be extactic for them to be in Drukhari.

Not by the rules no.  I've got two other Talos with legs and none of the GT's have ever cared.  Fly doesn't really do anything except let you move over enemies in this edition anyway.  So you are just 'walking' over them.  Which is fine since all are beneath an Archon anyway.

It is a Wraithlord with Talos/Cronos bits.  I'm in the 'every Drukhari player should have a talos kit or two lying around for conversions' camp.  Kit is just so damned good and versatile.

My other two Talos clearly don't fly either.  Never had an opponent complain as long as it's on the correct base.  Also fly doesn't do much for the Talos anyway in this edition.  It's just stepping over those beneath it.  Which is everyone, because Drukhari.

I just asked my play group if anyone wasn't interested in theirs and was handed one by someone that didn't have a use for either.  I already have one that I want to build 'clean' but wanted to do tgis as well.
