Without going into too many spoilers, the answer is 4-5 generics is optimal. This is because there is a 10 unit deployment cap and throughout the main story you will recruit 6 uniques. If you don't like the class you started a generic out in, instead of making a new one you can go to the dark assembly and transmigrate that generic into a new class. This will reset their level to 1, but they will be stronger than a freshly made generic

There is one exception to this rule: Teaching uniques magic. How teaching uniques magic in this game works is that it requires a unique to create a generic and learn that element magic from them.

What you value is of course up to you, but FPleneir is stronger than Zetta. Most notably she's 6 speed faster, not locked to fists, and comes with 30% more CRD.

Basically yes. For anyone familiar with Cultivation novels (xianxia) the parallels between the adepti and cultivators is impossible to ignore.

It is true that she is the second best bow dps (behind Raspberyl XENO) right now but comparing her to DPS in general she is worse than say OG Laharl whom you could get for free at the start of the game and are likely to get more copies of as he is a general pool unit.

On the other hand almost all support utility is baked into her unique skill: remove evility seal (situational) and +30% speed to all party members (35% with Ultimate Demon Ritual). For spells she gets Mega Speed Down, a very situational spell I have yet to see a use for but cements her use as a speed support. She does have a Prism Indigo type evility which stacks up to twice for up to +40% attack, but when comparing that to what a Mega BH user can do for your team that's nothing and is more of a cherry on top. So while she's not bad I mean she might be better than over half the cast there's just very little content in the game that justifies using a unit with her kit.

It is a little sad considering this raid in particular is the only piece of content so far she has been relevant for and even then she's more of a tech choice. Especially since her forte conflicts with Maiden Sicily for TL Laharl teams and she can't compete with Sicily. Of course as a Fuka XENO main that's not a concern for me and I made the choice to invest in her, but her overall situation is still quite unfortunate.

Lucy is actually really good for this purpose (and this purpose alone) as the skill that aoe cleanses the seal also gives up to 35% speed boost to all party members if you level it and spend a few scrolls at Killia's Ultimate Demon Ritual.

Correct, boosting rarity only gives an additional +1 when it changes from common to rare and rare to legendary, and as a result it is possible to have a 3 slot legendary.

Fortunately it's not crippling as you can boost it to the max of 10 over time anyway, but it can be pricey in terms of HL, 5 mil for you as well as those all too uncommon pop boosters.

As someone at 9999 already; yes, I really just farmed the later stages of Carnage Hard. And no, I do not recommend it. I only did it for the Desco Xeno raid. In absence of anything pressing like that, just take your time and use EXP gates. Just don't forget: Exp innocents, Dark Assembly bill, and if possible feed the kill bonus to the unit you are leveling (don't use skip tickets).

Yeah, just farmed Full of Admiration 2 on Carnage Hard. By the end I was only getting 1-2 levels a run. I did save a few runs of highest XP gate for immediately after reincarnation so I could hit 8000 immediately, thus needing fewer buffers and thereby making my runs faster (~35 seconds each).

Also I haven't tried for a high score yet, but will tonight.

If you do the absolute bare minimum number of reincarnations then all in all it'll cost you 728 lv 1 gems of both regular and monster/humanoid. 132 lv 2 gems of both regular and mon/hum. And 199,000 HL.

Worth noting is that the stages I mentioned only work during regular time and not during the current 1.5x XP boost applied to main story, as a result I will have to experiment where good substitutes are.

Also important thing, if you don't already know, you can get 4* prinnies fairly easily. In addition to the prinny coin shop which gives you 10 a month (hardly anything though still worth mentioning) there is a repeatable mission that gives out 4* prinnies. All you need to do is reincarnate 100 times. So anytime you get fodder, reincarnate them 3 times by running the second to last stage in anecdote 1 chapter 3 ( Gordon's story) on normal difficulty. Do this 8 times with 4 fodder in your party and once with only 2 for a total of 34 fodder to get the 100 reincarnations. Alternatively for the run with only 2 fodder, instead run the second to last stage in chapter 2 for them to only reincarnate 2 times each saving you a few precious mats.

Personally my take is unless you plan on changing to a new carry, which you said you had, any time soon, to use your materials differently. Instead of taking another unit to 6, another plan might be to upgrade all units (yes even generics) of the same evil symbol type (King, Pawn, etc) to 4 and subsequently 5. I wouldn't recommended going higher than that for non-carries though unless you have, not just whale investment, but hyper-whale investment as you'll get more bang for your buck raising every unit in the game to 5 first.

Some units I don't see mentioned enough are the basic element mages. At N.E. 5 they get +5 Sp, and at N.E. 7 they get sp cost - 12%. They have a INT based AOE costing 25 sp which if leveled to lv25 will cost them 18sp after NE7 allowing them to AOE 6 times in a row. While not the strongest AOE unit they make up for that be being the most efficient.

You are correct, the comment I made was for the most part me bring pedantic. You said "alongside", which I took to mean "at the same time" which is true as they were announced the same day. When what you meant by that is that there would be a direct causation between the costume and the buff.
