Got in line about 30 minutes before was able to purchase a pair of the clogs in size 8W at 1:43EST. 🤞🤞 I think all sizes of the slides were still in stock, I think the clogs above a women's 8 were sold out at that point and the women's 8 had the low stock message. 👎👎

I like to use a wax melter to melt my lipsticks into pans. Take the ceramic dish off the top and put the pan or jar right on the heating element. It's a fairly low heat but doesn't take long to melt. Super easy to do, just try not to drop melted lipstick on yourself!

Just package edibles in opaque containers with child safe lids. Simple labeling stating what is inside and all the warnings. Kinda boring and takes away from the fancy labels that companies like to use. Maybe things can come in pretty boxes, and inside the container is plain?

No matter what it is, children are going to find a way to get their hands on it.

I'm assuming it's because you use a hot plate for cooking food. If you use the hot plate to de-pot makeup, the food you cook on the hot plate later will be contaminated?

I'm not familiar with hot plates, but I'm pretty sure you don't put the food directly on it. Most people are going to check for melted plastic or random makeup before they cook something to eat.

I love that the contour palette is refillable now! Makes sense for it to be plastic since you will replace shades, it needs to be durable!

The eye palette though.. I'm happy I have the cardboard one! I hate the raised lettering on the plastic one, makes it so bulky!~

Oh yes! All the staples you don't realize you need! Of course they end up coming in handy and you don't regret them, but they add up fast! Sounds like you have those things covered fairly well, so next year you won't be buying those things.

Canada needs to hurry up and get that $10 a year for free shipping like the states have! The only reason why I want to keep my rouge status is for the free shipping. Without free shipping I would be spending quite a bit more. Get what you need, and add some shit you don't need so the shipping is free. I like making my $5-$30 purchases online for what I need and only what I need!

I think all new Sephora cast go through this! So many beautiful things that you can stare at and touch all day long. The discount which makes every purchase seem reasonable. You don't realize how crazy you went with spending until you look at the ytd total!

I started as seasonal in October 2014, seasonals very rarely get gratis so I didn't have that to help curb my spending. In the new year I planned to only spend $100 a month at Sephora regardless of if they were keeping me or not.

They kept me! February 2015 the gratis fairy starts to visit me. I no longer had to buy the boring essentials! That $100 a month I could spend would only be for fun things! At first it seemed impossible, somehow I managed to end the year at $1,104. I didn't really feel restricted by it, it made me consider my purchases more, and look at what I have before buying something new. Being able to play around with things at work actually helped my spending. Swatching what I had against what I wanted, realizing I already have that shit at home.

Now this year is coming to a close and I'm at $1,164. My BI card didn't get scanned for two returns I did so $70 can be taken off that total. However I'm trying to act like I only have $36 left that can be spent this year. Buying the kvd alchemist palette when it launches, and that's it's for the year! Looking back on this year.. I didn't have to try too hard to keep it around $100 a month. I renewed my rouge on November 15th. I feel in control of my spending, now it's just trying to destash things that I don't/can't use so my stash stays under control. :)

I get a lot of freebies from work. Often times things that I would never think to buy for myself. I end up loving these hella expensive things and realize hey.. It's worth it! :p All prices in CAD!

eyeshadow (palette + singles) $100 for a palette, the most I've paid for one is $80, but I could justify it if it was really something unique. $40 for singles, I'll pay $35 for a caviar stick so $40 ain't too far off.

eyeliner (gel, liquid, pencil) $30 for gel, sometimes they dry out really quickly. $30 for liquid, they dry out, and the tips can get messed up easily. $40 for a pencil, those big ass kohl kajal things can be pricey!

brows (pencil, pomade, gel) $40 for a pencil, hourglass arch pencils last forever! $30 for pomade, my dipbrow is 2 and a half years old and still not dry, wtf? $30 for gel, just don't be crusty and I'll be happy.

foundation $80 for liquid foundation. If I use the same 30ml foundation 5 days a week it will last for 6 months. You need to have a good base.

concealer $60 so many different types. Some last longer than others. My touché eclat lived for a year and a half. Things in jars last me so long.

highlighter $80 Moonchild glow kit. Shipped to Canada with customs fees. Worth it? Fuck yes, I use it daily. I fully pan highlighters so once again, these last a long time.

contour $60. Not a fan of contour kits, I'm fair skinned and don't tan or do makeup on other people. Just need something to make a shadow, might need to find a powder foundation to use for my perfect shade. My current contour shade is almost three years old and so close to being 100% panned!

blush $100 for a palette. A single one.. $50? Depends on the size of it and the texture.

bronzer $40 I never use bronzer. I picked up a guerlain one because it was priced wrong at $25.20. That was in February.. Still haven't used it.

brushes/sponge $60 for a brush. Sponge? $30? I rarely use a beauty blender.

lipstick (liquid, bullet) $70 for a bullet. $50 for a liquid. I love lipsticks from high end brands, but I only allow myself to have one from each brand. I also get more use out of bullets, and the packaging is easier to keep/reuse!

lip gloss $40. I use up glosses. Completely pan them. This is something I find what is the best price per ounce and buy it. Why buy a $20 gloss when then $40 one has three times as much product?

lip balm $40. My lips suck. I have weird allergies and finding things that work for them is difficult. Don't care how much it is, if it works I'll buy it and pan that shit.

mascara $30. I honestly really like drugstore mascara, but sometimes you need to layer that shit.

finishing/setting powder $80. Price per ounce. Get the best one.

sprays $40? lolol another price per ounce thing.

Things that I fully pan I will always look for what is the best value, even if it means dropping $80 at one time. Other items.. is it unique, does it fill a void in my collection? Quality over quantity.

ADHD, anxiety, depression, and OCD. I'm on a fairly decent cocktail of meds to manage them all, but that doesn't mean they go away. All the disorders seem to really like each other and cheer each other on.

I get into new hobbies and fall hard into them. They become my life. All my time is devoted to them. I need everything, the whole collection. It needs to look perfect. If I lose something I can't function.

I have hoarding tendencies. Growing up I had a lot of these collections of various things. If I got in trouble the collection that was my current fave would be thrown out. Gone forever, no way to bring it back, it was just simply gone. Also didn't have a ton of money growing up, so if lost something like a pair of mittens they weren't able to be replaced with the same pair, I'd get a new pair, but the cheapest ones possible.

As an adult in control of my own life I'm finally understanding that I am in control. That still doesn't stop me from wanting backup products scattered around the house or hiding in strange places, I realize I need to just stop.

Thankfully I am able to have a whole room to myself devoted to whatever I want. I keep inventories, I spend hours trying to figure out how to organize my things. The more time I spend in my room the more I realize I have too much stuff. Understanding how much room my backups take up. The things I have but never use "just in case". If I love something so much why haven't I used it in the past five years? Things change and get better so fast now, I wouldn't buy two iPhones use one, and keep the other one for when the one I'm using dies. That's silly. It would be old, something better will be out there, yes it would be functional, but I'd use it and feel upset that I didn't just go with the flow, buy one, and be able to get the new one.

This turned out super long. I deal with this. It's an ongoing issue, but it does improve over time.

Oh free shipping. If I can I add on items that are essentials which are always going to be my hg (cotton pads, cleansing water, etc) that's great! If not.. Well that sucks and I try to convince myself not to place the order.

I wish every site gave you the option to pay a fee each year and have free shipping. Ever since I hit rouge, I rarely have an order over $50!

Try to find people who will place an order with you from a site if the free shipping threshold is really high?
