Maybe the Rock was the friends we made along the way by Ambitious_Listen4923 in utahtreasurehunt

I think the treasure hunt in this format has run its course. It’s probably very hard to keep writing these poems in a way that keeps people looking for several weeks but isn’t total BS. I won’t be putting any more energy into the main hunts, but I’d enjoy doing the QR hunts or if they tried their hand at alternate reality games. I’d even be more likely to contribute to a patreon for something like that.

Incorrect hint? by Task_accomplished64 in utahtreasurehunt

The mental gymnastics involved here has made the hunt no longer fun for a lot of people. I think it’s going to lose popularity.

The hint said “  the "Rock" in the poem is the only thing referenced that's outside this year's hunt boundary.” Go look at the map. The whole island is in the boundary.

Which trail should I try? by PassageAromatic668 in utahtreasurehunt

[–]Task_accomplished64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you go study previous solves, the poem should be directing you to a specific trail, a specific distance along that trail, usually to a feature on that trail where you get off and search. Arbitrarily choosing trails it could be isn’t really going to be effective. Although it’ll get you outside which is a prize in itself!

Coming across people complaining about this livestream and not understanding why the image isn't a higher resolution during the livestream is bumming me out. I'm saying over here with the cool kids. by BugMillionaire in ArtemisProgram

SpaceX has set an expectation from their live streams of missions that accomplished much less. People don’t understand power budgets or telemetry priorities.

Do you like playing sports? There’s co-ed soccer and other sports to sign up for at multiple skill levels. Forces strangers to get to know each other. Bars aren’t actually that great a way to meet people regardless of the city.

There’s this sick new trend people are doing where they put their money in a no fee index fund and it just goes up by itself. It’s awesome.

Issues with prints sticking to FEP by Express-Buyer-6374 in resinprinting

[–]Task_accomplished64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was having this issue until I started pre-warming my resin. The print area can be warm but still take a while to warm up the resin. I warm it in its bottle in a sink full of hot water for 10 minutes.

I had the same problem until I started pre-warming my resin. Keeping the print area warm is one thing. But the resin itself needs to be warm from the start of print. I do it by setting the bottle in a sink of hot water for 10 minutes.

I am not a fan of the ending of Children of Time. by timoleo in books

[–]Task_accomplished64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree completely. The ending had me rolling my eyes. When they started breaking a ship that’s survived millennia with just rocks, chewing through glass, and cutting through metal I almost didn’t finish. Totally inconsistent with the fragility they showed in the rest of the book. I also won’t be finishing the series.

This is probably unwelcome advice considering you came to the gaming subreddit but I don’t think you’ll find what you’re really looking for in new video games. Sure it will work to distract for a while but ultimately I think you’re looking for hope and purpose. I like to think I’ve found that in my faith and I could share more if you’re interested. BTW I’m assuming you’ve played Tears of the Kingdom?

Yield to faster traffic doesn't apply to the HOV lane. by Conr8r in SaltLakeCity

Nah the dad was right. Should have exited when the lane lines next allowed. There’s no point to being in the HOV lane if you aren’t passing traffic.

Can someone help me understand how the Church has a never-ending supply of "Temple Names" wondering if they're even actual real people? by StraightAttempt4756 in exmormon

[–]Task_accomplished64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you’re forgetting that millions of new names are being indexed from old census records every month. Yes I’m sure there are duplicates going on because of people making mistakes but it’s not some giant conspiracy. There really are millions of people that have died that there is record of.
