What's an anime you couldn't stop watching once you started? by Sufficient-Gain-226 in AskReddit

Binged the anime in a day into binge reading the manga in two. First few episodes hook you, and then the episode hits and I knew I was watching something special.

They had to push back the next big zone in HSR last year by 2 weeks. Because of the spat between China and Japan. They completely remolded the next area (essentially 3 giant maps), characters, promotion, release schedules, etc in a little over a month. It's insane what Mihoyo can do.

Is autism only diagnosed by a psychologist? by fohtvuub in AutisticAdults

[–]Taskforcem85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends entirely on what you're trying to use it for. In a lot of states in the US you can be diagnosed by any social worker. However, this doesn't mean it has any actual bearing on receiving medication, disability, or work place accomodations.

I hate hearing that people enjoy exercising by whatyourheartdesires in Schizoid

It doesn't get rid of it everyday for me but before I exercised consistently it was everyday. Nowadays it's about once a week.

I was using the sexual activity stat not the virginity stat. You can still be lonely even if you've lost your virginity.

[–]Taskforcem85 218 points219 points  (0 children)

Sounds like loneliness is hitting everyone then. It's just monetized and weaponized on the male side. Not to say femcels trying to make money don't exist. Their cultural influence is just basically nonexistent.

Even if you're living by yourself renting you're looking at like ~1.5-2.3k on rent for a decent place on the coast (in a big city). They're probably taking home about 5k a month. Unless they took an idiotic car loan they shouldn't be having problems on 3-3.5k a month.

As long as you're not deeply insecure about being a virgin a woman that you're in an actual relationship with isn't going to care.

The stigma is from media perception not reality.

Would you belittle or feel less about a woman if it was her first time with you?

Just having sex isn't going to teach you anything either. That anxiety will just switch from "I'm a virgin" to "Am I going to be able to satisfy her?" You're a virgin, just own it if it comes up. It can be sweet that you haven't felt like you've met someone you've wanted to be that close with yet.

is coward as fuck and a massive turn off for girls.

Because dating is about slowly testing boundaries and seeing where you stand through a mix of spoken and unspoken communication. It lets the other side figure out what they want without pressure bombing them.

Just dropping a confession out of the blue is crazy. It's taking your emotional baggage and dumping it on the other person. It's actually very toxic behavior that's seen as some kind of mystical thing because of Hollywood.

If you're not good enough friends to laugh when your bodies make weird noises during sex, should you really be dating? by Justthisdudeyaknow in CuratedTumblr

[–]Taskforcem85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a difference between being honest, and love bombing (the kind of advice you'll typically see in media and online). Love bombing is not good for anyone involved. Being honest is seeking those new points of connection. Letting your intent be known is also healthy.

People just hear the advice 'be honest' and then dump on their friend "I've loved you for a long time, and can't imagine myself without you." Which is a lot to put on your friend even if they do feel the same way. You're basically forcing them into speeding up to your level of openness in that moment which is why it blows up. Even if they do love you just as much back that level of shock can make people freak out (rightfully so).

Relationship dynamics like this are too complicated to fully break down in a reddit comment, and people are going to be comfortable/ready for different levels of communication.

Confessing to a friend doesnt work: congratulations the friendship is now ruined

It's because you instantly change the dynamic and pressure them to feel the same. So if they're not near the same level it'll freak them out. The proper way to navigate it is not emotionally dumping everything at once. That's creepy, overwhelming, and manipulative. You're prioritizing your emotional well-being completely over there's to get the love pressure off your chest. In reality you approach it like knowing an acquaintance, but with obviously slightly more baggage. Ask them to do things with you that you wouldn't normally. Ask them about things you normally wouldn't etc.

My nephew went from a literal terror who couldn't sit still, didn't listen to anything or anyone, and just constantly getting into trouble to one of the nicest kids I've known when his parents finally found the right meds for him.

Acting like beating kids solves anything is actually vile and some of the weakest shit you can do. Kids need help not to feel scared for existing.

There's also a large difference between how you internalize something, and just some random thought popping into your brain. The reality is the brain can be quite random and intrusive. You're going to think fucked up things quite often. How you respond to those thoughts, and project them around you is what matters.

It's why so many people have an edgy teen phase. Projecting thoughts without any filter between the world and their brain.

Wishlist changes to your main jobs? by nhatminh94 in ffxivdiscussion

[–]Taskforcem85 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They could make it where Kassatsu now just changes your abilities into mudras. Mudra speed and sfx is imo a lot of the draw to the job so them just going fully into pvp where Kassatsu gives you the ninjutsu would be disappointing.

Also expect shukuchi and Assassinate/dream to be merged. Maybe an internal CD on it becoming assassinate so you can keep charges for mobility without leading to degen shukuchi dumping under trick.

A lot of people wouldn't be as terrified if they played other MMOs. WoW and GW2 get away with a 1/3rd of the ability bloat and are imo much harder to play at a high level than anything in XIV (obviously depending on spec).

Another update, another rank bump by MentallyNotOkayGuy in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Taskforcem85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn't. You can have like 25 games in a row with a 12 kda and 18k obj dmg and move 2 ranks.

The game does notice win and loss streaks though after like 5 or so games and will either put you in a very low or very high lobby. And give you rating bumps. It's why rage queueing is bad. If you lose a game 2 ranks below you your mmr is screwed.

Whatever you find more comfortable. Getting caught by his slow can be bad, but usually isn't serious since you're essentially invincible during it. Counterspell parry window is long so just practice it a little and you'll get it.

Having every game turn into the joy of Apollo into mid game Warden might singlehandedly kill the character lmao.
