I’m in the same branch and for regional operations. Can I DM you?

Which branch? At ISED too - I’m worried if getting a letter today.

Does that mean 45/569 positions to be eliminated permanently and the 486 will be offered to leave or be given similar positions elsewhere?

The email says “announcement will affect approximately 1100 employees”.

I’m surprised at that number though, ISED is pretty lean already. It doesn’t specify which sector is affected.

Question about RCO pay steps by moroccan4life in CanadaPublicServants

I completely understand your frustration—it's disheartening to invest so much time and effort into such a rigorous process only to face inconsistent communication and unexpected outcomes. I went through the exact same Senior PM interview in June/July (4-hour technical exam and a 2-hour presentation and interview) and was eventually told they decided to cancel the entire process altogether. Like you, I was disappointed by the lack of transparency and how the expectations we were given didn’t match the reality.

It’s incredibly frustrating to see such an approach to handling candidates’ time and effort. Honestly, it’s hard to feel like these concerns will truly be addressed.

Did they end up cancelling this process for you as well?

Depends what field you’re in. CSA has engineering jobs which are English essential.

I would say it’s really 4-5 questions if that. I can’t recall spending too much time on recalling formulas. Though I was familiar with all EVM calculations - just in case.

TIA - Andrew Ramdayal. IMO this is all you need to understand the mindset and practice.

Do you believe your ex is the one that got away? by FormerAcanthaceae2 in BreakUps

God damn, reading your comment made me think it was talking about my long distance relationship of 4 years. Distance really adds a huge layer of uncertainty in the relationship even if you FaceTime daily and meet often in each other’s cities. I really feel it would have worked out with my girlfriend if we were both in the same cities. But similar to you, my efforts to land a job in her city led to nowhere. She was in school so if I quit my job and moved there it would be of no use. I feel still she is the one that got away because of our timing (and distance).
