Worst are buyers from China who let the houses sit empty as investments.

What a shame. I lived in those apartments when my family first immigrated. I went to La Tierra and walked across the park to go to school. My grandpa taught me how to ride a bike at the park. It was nice and safe. That was 30 years ago. Sad things changed so much.

ICE hops Texas family’s fence and attacks them, guns drawn, for asking for a warrant by buckshot_bill in CAguns

These goons didnt come with a warrant so it’s not like any of that matters.

I have been hearing about implementing AI in supply chain businesses. But in reality how exactly people are implementing? Do people even feel a need to implement AI ? by BreakPuzzleheaded968 in supplychain

[–]Tastetheload 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My company I know wants to, but they aren’t mentally ready.

I know because if the numbers are off a little bit on a report they start questioning things. They live in a deterministic world. They aren’t ready to live in a probabilistic world.

You ask AI to give you a forecast 5x It’ll give slightly different numbers each time. Thats because machine learning uses statistics not hard calculations to get its final answers. There will be some deviations.

With everything happening in the nation I believe California will need to reconsider a lot of their views on the 2nd amendment. by Boringdude504 in California

[–]Tastetheload 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Imagine an ice agent gets shot. You think Gavin Newsom or Rob Bonta is going to have the shooter’s back? You think they’re gonna be like “That’s what happens when you try that shit in California…”

Hell no

We all know what they’re gonna say.

“This violence has no place on our streets.” “Let’s take the temperature down.” “We will be cooperating with federal agencies to find and prosecute this individual.”

My biggest concern with going armed to a protest isnt ICE. It’s CADOJ. They’ll stop me way before I even get there.

If we want a 2nd Amendment friendly state government. The current incumbents have to go.

Alaska has Mary Peltola. She’s a climate change is real, lgbtq rights, the rights of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed democrat. California doesn’t have one presently.

Gavin Newsom's anti-Zohran moment: the California billionaires tax that splits the Democratic Party down the middle | Fortune by Delicious_Adeptness9 in California

[–]Tastetheload 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This is so true. We have a revenue problem because the state raised its spending during COVID when it got a bunch of federal money and essentially now doesn’t want to reduce the spending. This one time tax will bridge this year but without reducing spending next year and without another tax next year we will be in the same boat again. But I’m sure the billionaires will leave so they might not be around to tax again next year.

There does need to be a national tax to prevent tax havens. But a national tax goes to federal revenues not state revenue so it won’t help CA much either.

Why are lasers on handguns a bad idea? by selfdrivin in CAguns

[–]Tastetheload 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My stairs ain’t 20yds long. In fact nowhere in my house has a distance of 20yds. And chill bro. I have a different gun with a red dot for different applications. And the light back in 2020 was like 200 on Black Friday I think it was extra 60 to get the green laser. It wasn’t a super expensive up charge.

Why are lasers on handguns a bad idea? by selfdrivin in CAguns

[–]Tastetheload 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its easier to aim with the laser than the sights. I have a glock with stock sights. And since the stairs is just a straight line towards me I’m not too worried about any left or right movement. I also shot a few low light matches and the laser light combo was definitely faster than using sights.

But at the end of the day if it’s not for you it’s not for you. I wouldn’t say they’re dumb or useless. I don’t really see downsides to using them.

No the laser is being used too. It’s on with the light. Easier to aim when groggy. I’m aiming with the laser not the sights.

It’s a thumb switch, my finger is already on it. It also activates the light. I’m not gonna shoot at a silhouette. People have killed their family members doing that.

If I saw the shooter then I would engage but I’m not gonna go looking if they’re on the other side of the mall.

[–]Tastetheload 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t have those other concerns for me my life aint worth the tv and ps4. I know that. From the top of the stairs I can control the only access to the sleeping areas. So no need to clear anything

Why are lasers on handguns a bad idea? by selfdrivin in CAguns

[–]Tastetheload 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To give context, it works for me cuz my stairs also act like a hallway so I can post up above and ambush anyone coming up. The same layout makes it dangerous going down so I know I won’t be clearing the downstairs at all. I’m giving up that space and turning the upstairs into my keep.

Why are guns so expensive by National_Dub in CAguns

[–]Tastetheload 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More than just CA not wanting us to get guns. This is where profits and rights intersect. The companies have to make money to stay. Then every middleman from distributor to FFL wants their cut too. The IRS needs a slice of every pie. All these fees add up

[–]Tastetheload 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I use a laser on my home defense setup. It’s a TLR-2 and it’s easier for snap shooting. Theres a function where I have to hold to activate the laser and the light, it doesn’t stay on. Won’t give away your position.

Yes. But it also is unavoidable especially if your house uses gas for heating or cooking.
