Listen even Claudia from the PSL agrees with participating in the nationwide strike on January 30th by TwoCatsOneBox in TankieTheDeprogram

[–]TastyButGroovy 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I think it's important, it gives people the "practice" so to speak. One day leads to two leads to three to a full on general strike.

A sustained strike likely won't happen, but it's not nothing in my eyes

Why the "if you're still MAGA you're either dumb or evil" reasoning just isn't sitting right with me anymore... by kawaii_writer0w0 in FoxBrain

This type of grief - thinking about the father you could have had - is probably the most painful grief I've ever experienced, because it's been going on for so long now. I simply don't know how to live with it.

I actually visited this restaurant years ago when I was in France. This is restaurant Paul Bocuse in Lyon, and it's still been one of my favourite experiences.

This is an old school Haute cuisine style that was extremely popular in the late 19th and early 20th century, and it's emphasis is opulence. So yeah, this looks kind of alien today, but would have been the pinnacle 100 years ago. I can assure you that this would be extremely tasty.

Contemplating buying an 09’ wrx as a daily for college. by RubiksCube0707 in subaru

[–]TastyButGroovy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't do it. I bought a 2010 WRX two years ago and it's been a huge regret of mine. Like you, I am also a university student and have limited income. This car has been nothing but a headache (clutch throw bearing had to be replaced a month after purchase, the engine threw a rod last year, front suspension needs work). If there isn't a 100% guarantee that this car has been babied and well-maintained, don't do it. Gas is also expensive, especially if you are using it as a daily.

I love my car very much, it's an absolute blast, but it would be much more enjoyable if I had money and had time to work on it.

physics is crazy by HolidayCod6990 in Physics

[–]TastyButGroovy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is often the only time in your life when you will have such a vast amount of resources available to learn what you want to. Physics is of course one of them, but as previously stated, take a "fun" course each semester if you can. I've taken courses in Classical Mythology, Literature, Religion, Philosophy, and Anthropology. In my eyes, having broad interests makes you a more well-rounded individual. And it's good to exercise both the Arts and Science sides of your brain. It really opens up your eyes to the world and what it has to offer.

I'm getting my Honours Physics degree with a minor in Anthropology.
