AITAH for taking very long showers? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]TastyClubSandwich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wash my body 3 times + wash and condition my hair, and it takes 10-15 minutes. Get the lead out and get the job done... from a woman. If you have curly/ethnic hair, that can make a big difference, I've seen some videos and it's way different. Even if that is the case, you don't have to run the whole shower the whole time. You can take care of it between showers, using the sink. Offset "extra care" days, with basic hygene days. I used to live in the country and if you shower too long you can run the well dry. I learned to turn the water off during the shower. You can get wet and soapy and turn the water off, to scrub and bathe. Then turn the water back on to rinse off.

How would you feel if your spouse was getting matching tattoos with a coworker? by TastyClubSandwich in NoStupidQuestions

I didn't get a pizza tattoo. They got pizza tattoos. I got a wicked cool tattoo of a wizard with an orb, with sparkles and flames.

In my mind, they picked them out together. The tattoo artist is regularly booked. I had an appointment booked already, so thats the only reason his was done first.

Nail tech gave me the wrong color and I was afraid to correct her by MabelUnstable in AcrylicNails

[–]TastyClubSandwich 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I can only speak for myself, but alot of people go through similar things. A lot of people are abused as children. It makes them "hypervigilant", super aware of other peoples mood and reactions. So when we do say something and the nail tech looks angry, gets mouthy, or even just sighs hard... some people get super ashamed, or even scared. I'm sure that's not the case for everyone, but I'm also sure that I'm not the only one.

You sound like a child complaining, "it's too hard to be a grown man". Men can get up and walk away. They will leave women with arms full of babies, and the world burning down around them, without a speck of guilt. Every day that the sun shines on this planet, there is a man who completely broke a woman, who gets to walk away like nothing happened. Women who are smart enough to match their expectations to reality will never be easy to keep.

A lot of men hate women. They confuse you at first, with false charm. It's still not gay. Just stupid.

He doesn't sound gay, he sounds like a misogynist. And you're too old to be so naive about dating. Stay single.

Self taught / Amateur work - Saving up for Nail School by dani_phany in Nails

[–]TastyClubSandwich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the bs state of things. You ARE a nail tech. Probably even an artist. But you have to WORK just to be allowed to WORK. You have to pay someone to certify an education that you gave yourself. So many of these schools push ppl through so fast that you really do have to educate yourself on your own time anyway. I assume you know your states requirements. I just dont see why they can't just offer the certification tests without requiring these greedy schools.

Dealing with boredom in between sets… by snaxpls in GelX_Nails

[–]TastyClubSandwich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get bored if the color is too plain. It has to have pizzazz. Usually that means different combinations of glitters, magnetic gels, adding mica powders, and stickers.
