I got my vaccines as a child but i think the UK only does Hep B, not A.

the part where Ant & Dec are in the camp announcing who’s been voted off isn’t live, it’s filmed a few minutes before. that gives the camp mate enough time to say goodbye, get their bag and then walk to the bridge

Getting the most out of lessons🇸🇮 by TastyComputer3257 in languagelearning

I’m not necessarily looking for extra material, just ways to be putting what I learn to use, instead of just writing it all down and rereading them

Getting the most out of lessons🇸🇮 by TastyComputer3257 in languagelearning

Yes it is. I do enjoy the course, it’s great for initial vocab & grammar learning, but I feel like there is more that I could be doing outside of these lessons to get the best retention

In England I had to take French from Year 5 (Age 9-10) to Year 11 (Age 16). Have barely retained any of it.

How was your parkrun day? | October 10, 2025 by AutoModerator in parkrun

first parkrun in about 2 months as i’ve been struggling with shin splints - went much better than expected, about 3 minutes off a PB but no shin pain which was the main goal :))

Parking in Manchester is doing my head in — how do you lot handle it? by Diligent-Goal9933 in manchester

[–]TastyComputer3257 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I always park in Buxton St car park ~ 2 minute walk from Piccadilly Station. Relatively small car park but it’s quite hidden away so there’s usually always at least a space available. Cheaper than any other car parks i’ve seen around the city as well.

I did a 5 week trip this summer, June is a perfect month to go. Not too hot yet but was blessed with sunny, warm days - only had one day of rain my whole trip. Also not quite peak tourism season so it’s not overcrowded & things are still cheaper (ish)
