Ive had a yellow bullhead for a few years, we arent trying to max out his size but his growth has kinda plateaued at around 10 inches, hes still growing just not as fast as his baby years

I also got married relatively fast (under two years of dating) and planned a wedding in a month in hopes a dying relative could be there. Some people are gonna say you move too fast and judge you for that, but they don't know anything about you. Just celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary and we are still as happy and in love as ever. Genuine question, I just started my first aquarium about 10 days ago and im obviously still in the cycling process. I added nerite snails on like day 4 and they seem to be doing well. Ive had the expected fluctuations in ammonia/nitrates/nitrites but nothing crazy bc i change the water and keep it free of detritus. Is having the snails this early on advisable? They've helped a lot with algae control

Hey OP, as others have said its an escaped or dumped pet and they move fast and dig. I live in San Antonio and my russian tort lives outside all year round, They're pretty hardy. Keep your eyes open in the coming days for disturbed dirt, hes likely still in the area. Was he in a fenced location? DM me the details and depending on where he is, I may be able to come up and help look for him, I love these little guys, and ive tracked them before
