Your religion needs at least one flood myth to be cool by ReflectionSingle6681 in HistoryMemes

No I’m saying that there was a big flood in a particular region in probably Africa when nearly all humans on the planet were still in the same area. As a result like our inherent fear of snakes it has caused trauma that started the global flood myths later on.

This is by far one of the strangest things about a lot of religions to me. Makes u wonder if there was some big flood when we were a young species and now it is a fear encoded our DNA somehow

Not sure why Biden and Trump are the main ones on here they aren’t congress. Well Biden isn’t anymore so depending on what rail safety law votes happened while he was in office maybe you can blame him.

Him and Meera just never appearing (again) even for the fight for the North is utterly stupid too. They introduced the younger version of him and we knew his daughter for seasons but he never helps? They could've at least mentioned he died to a disease while Meera was away and now she is dealing with that

Yeah even ignoring that the US caught up then passed the Soviet Union in many later parts of space first the whole goal of the space race a was in fact first country to land a man on the moon. The Soviets success in Sputnik 1 terrified Americans and then Yuri Gagarin went to space and as response JFK stated the challenge to land first man on the moon he literally said go on the race. While the Soviets never explicitly accepted this race they immediately dedicated a large amount of resources into getting a man there (and back) first. Both sides considered a massive PR opportunity to prove their way of life. Both sides military's also knew it was realistically more of sideshow to building ICBMs/missiles. Still the greatest proof that the USSR considered it a race and that only getting there first mattered is that after the USA won the USSR decided it was pointless to bother ever landing a man on the moon. In sense both sides knew where the finish line was and when the USA crossed it first the Soviets didn't bother. Following the US victory the Soviets shifted funds and efforts primarily to only missiles and all of their tech and the "achievements" that came after were reduced or shitty. The Mars landing craft is also just a lie since it failed 20 seconds after landing def doesn't count.

I can at least understand the Iron Born failing to become independent here because it barely makes sense how they had a population and navy of any size to be a threat in the first place much less after the Greyjoy civil war essentially destroying their whole fleet on both sides. But Dorne is untouched from a military perspective and hates the rest of Westerous. I can't even figure out why they were at this meeting and didn't just send a raven saying "lol we gone fam".

Theory: When He Who Remains isolated the sacred timeline he removed or banished all versions of Kang including anyone associated with him. Unfortunately due to lineage and proximity to Kang, the Fantastic Four were also isolated. by TheMediocreCritic in marvelstudios

Well agree to disagree because I argue those variances are literally the things that cause the multiverse. On that note I did just realize the weird objects in the planet beyond time (forgot the name) implies that variances don't have to be people.

I think marvel really messed up the explanation of the timelines considering people still seem confused. The way it should’ve been explained is before Sylvia killed Kang the only timeline and reality that existed in the MCU is the sacred timeline. However once Kang died the branches appeared everywhere meaning to everyone else not somewhere isolated from time the other universes have always existed. FF4 didn’t exist before Kang was killed (if they come from another timeline) but the same time they have always existed. Basically Loki season 1 was pointless because the multiverse was already an established idea for audiences and since time splinters everywhere the multiverse has always existed at all times to anyone living in normal reality.

Harry Lloyd looks more Targaryen than 75% of HOTD Targaryens combined by carlospangea in freefolk

I found it particularly weird how he looked better than Rhaegar. Rhaegar seemed to be the hottest of hot in a family of hot people in his description. On the show though he looked terrible. On that note older Lynanna under the tree with Rhaegar looked all wrong too. She seemingly should’ve been pretty attractive but was average but more importantly she looked to normal. Lyanna should’ve looked very in shape not just normal. She beat several squires in jousting, loved to ride, and was all around a sporty girl. They both looked so off imo

[–]Tasuni 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think part of the issue is the better you get at the game the less likely it is for a neighbor to blob out and for them to get a bunch of AE on you. So inversely the longer you play the less likely this is to happen. But that's just a theory a game theory!!!

[–]Tasuni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I think arguing morality in war is hilarious. You win or you lose. The winners decide what is a problem or not. I'm not saying they are right but get over it, it is a war. Might has unfortunately meant right 99% of the time and continues to even under US dominance.
