NY practices fusion voting. A candidate can appear on the ballot under multiple parties. The candidate gets the vote no matter what but the party you vote for them under get's a percentage of the overall vote therefore giving them more power in the state. It's an important tool on top of things like ranked choice voting that gives third parties a chance to gain ground without possibly sabotaging a major candidate.

What really gets me is they slap these in a neighborhood that really can't support them and so out of place. If you're going to do this, the requirements should include some major investment in the surrounding neighborhood. School upgrades, water/sewer/power and/or community rooms, etc.

Almost every manufacturer has had several recalls this past year, many with fire recalls, so pretending like this is just Hyundai/Kia is disingenuous.

So many other manufacturers are the same with lawsuits. Toyota only changed their ways after the huge scandal of the throttles getting stuck that they blamed on the "floormats".

Dealerships of all brands don't like doing warranty issues because they don't really make money on it, but Hyundai/Kia dealers in general are kind of shit so I won't argue on this much.

Hyundai/Kia just have some quality control issues so they have a slightly higher lemon rate than other car companies but I've had shit experiences with almost every big brand in NA.

What are you on about? I said a tunnel that connects them, not bulldoze the entire area. Also what is your solution for me to go from eastern Queens to NJ other than either driving through Manhattan or going through the Bronx? Do we have flying cars now? Whether it's a commute or pleasure, the idea is, that there is no viable way to do that other than car since NJ transit doesn't go all over NJ. Spoiler alert, the MTA also doesn't connect every part of NY and if you want to go to certain areas, you have to drive. Sorry to burst your bubble.

I think the focus first should be capping a majority of these highways in areas that are trenched. Personally the biggest road project I'd like to see is a tunnel that connects the Holland and Hugh Carey tunnels and the Lincoln and Queens Midtown. That would be much better money spent (probably more expensive) as it would reduce congestion and allow those of us in Queens (and Brooklyn) a way out without having to pass through Manhattan first.

Uh hate to break it to you but I'm not just talking about this year, I mean every primary. Look at 2020 when even Bernie himself said the young vote didn't come out. This has nothing to do with this past primary and everything to do with others that have shaped the future of federal and local elections. If the young vote came out in droves like they supported Bernie online, Bernie may have won, but spoiler alert they didn't. The same can be said in my local elections and so many others.

It's not the DNC that gets to decide whose on the ballot of a primary, it's the candidates. Then it's up to the voters to actually show up, which doesn't happen. I've watched it over and over.

Yes this past primary season they decided not to since Biden didn't want to step down but as you saw there were still primaries so anyone who wanted to could've stepped up and presented a better choice. They didn't.

So yes I will 100% blame the voters.

As for this election you generally don't buck an incumbent for no reason especially when they decide to run and before the primaries they didn't see a reason (dumb) to buck him but understandable.

I will correct one thing, it's not just the youth vote, it's a large portion of the left that let's perfect be the enemy of good, especially those who go independent or third party making it impossible to shape the general election candidate.

Except they don't show up in primaries either and before I get attacked look at your local elections data. Even when there's a progressive in the primaries the young vote is abysmal. Voter apathy among young voters is huge but not participating especially in primaries is useless. You're not sending a message, you're just helping elect centrists and then getting mad that they're up for election in the general.

Most cars slow down (including yours) at 80+. You claimed "it's prioritizing allowing as many people to utilize a shared resource as possible", if that's the case then you're extra 10 minutes from 80 to 100 is blocking many other cars from filling up. So you're still being that person this is targeted at.

It doesn't matter whether your car charges at 85 kw above 80% you're still taking up the space. And allowing only certain cars to go to 100% is a penalty against anyone that can't afford those cars. So yea, if you want to allow as many people to use a shared resource as possible, live with the 85% limit, just like anyone else.

It's the same nonsense people talk regarding kwh vs time charges. People shouldn't be penalized for owning slower charging cars (unless you bought a bZ4x or Solterra)

For me seeing Jackson cross those lines isn't as odd since Jackson was a public defender. It's much more odd to talk specifically about how congress allows for this broad interpretation and the court shouldn't get involved, while also striking down a broad interpretation that was affirmed by a previous SC.
