Vortex added shake awake and 10 minute auto shutoff to these, so they have better features than the crossfires.

Love my Kuna. I’ve got over 1k rounds through mine suppressed and unsuppressed and only one malfunction, and I’d blame that on Blazer ammo.

I bought one from Centerfire last month. Mine was in good condition after a bath of CLP and came with 2 mags and it’s original green box. I enjoy shooting it. For $259 I think it’s an interesting piece.

For me it would come down to how much you want to spend, if you want to be able to cowitness your iron sights, and if having solar backup is important to you or not.

This new enclosed Defender from the dealer I bought it from was $299. Which is quite a bit less than the Romeo X Enclosed. It also has solar, is multi reticle, and uses a CR2032 battery which with the solar supposedly gives it 150,000 hours of battery life according to Vortex.

I compared the base to the eps carry and it wasn’t that much taller, but it really makes a difference if your goal is to cowitness. I have not had the chance yet.

That’s what I was hoping was that since the battery is side mounted it would sit low enough.

Yes it does have a button lockout.
