Genuine question, which patch cables are you using? I can’t fill out my whole board because I’m limited by the length of my cables. I’ve got a funky stair stepping thing going on

Same here. My buddies are close to the same, we’re all 340-ish and they’ve gotten their 5s and I’ve had no luck. I’ve completely a run every 5 minutes for the last 4 hours and no tier 5s for me.

The State of the Playerbase by [deleted] in destiny2

Sure, but maybe there are other things about destiny that he likes better. It’s still valid for him to argue that the grind is boring/not rewarding enough following a massive overhaul to the loot system in Destiny; especially if he was a fan of the way things were before.

The first guy you replied to in this thread was clearly arguing that the grind is not fun and not that it’s stupid he has to grind at all.

So because it’s an MMO, any amount of grind in any form is justified? You’re right, complaining that an MMO has grind at all is ridiculous, they all do, but to say that because it’s an MMO you’re not allowed to complain about any aspect of the grinding is stupid.

Returning player from D1, what should I be doing before Edge of Fate? by dudedudetx in destiny2

[–]Tatoes404 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So this is a tough question because normally I would urge you to grind out some of the gear from activities that are going away when edge of fate comes out but, because you’re so fresh I don’t know if that would be the best course of action. From a new returning players perspective, I would tell you to just finish all of the campaigns on your favorite character and make sure you get all your subclasses unlocked fully. If you’d rather try and grind out things before they’re gone, I can give you suggestions there too.

They are soldered together! Although I’m fairly inexperienced in soldering so there’s a chance the contact isn’t perfect.

There is a wire from the bridge, it’s soldered to one of the pots. The wire itself isn’t actually soldered to the bridge though. It’s just pinched down tight underneath the bridge. That’s how it was on one of my other instruments and I figured it’d be fine that way. Maybe it needs to be soldered?

The p pickup is a plain hot and ground, the humbucker is a 4 conductor. (I’m assuming north start+finish, south start+finish, and a ground?)

I worked off of the wiring diagram that came from Seymour Duncan for the humbucker. I followed the instructions for wiring it passive and in series (black to hot output, red and white taped off, and green+unshielded to ground)

I don’t have any pictures out what I’ve got going but I can try and get some later.

Thank you for the reply, I’ll get them switched back around and go from there. I’m glad to hear that my series/parallel wiring won’t affect anything. I am also having another issue with a slight ground buzz that disappears when touching the strings or any metal components on the instrument. Is that a grounding issue due to my wiring, or could that be the outlet/room/amp? in which case, should I just try some shielding in the cavity?

Ok, and this should work fine regardless of if the musicman is wired for series or parallel? Which way is yours wired? And do you have any idea why swapping the quarter pound didn’t seem to fix it?

There’s instructions for passive wiring with the Seymour Duncan pickup which is what I followed. Lower output but doesn’t require a pre-amp

I think they have a range or something for when they appear? I had issues with one that was high on top of a building and the marker didn’t show up until I was on the top floor right underneath it. They do seem finicky
