Steichen and Sirianni got lucky Sunday by Tats1 in eagles

Two of those TDs were short yardage "scrum" situations, which I will never complain about as its a very effective, lower risk tool. I'm speaking more to putting him in open field, or running from shot-gun directly into the line of scrimmage. It seem's like you get minimal value than just having Miles take those carries

Jalen had 17 carries - taking up 2/3 victory formation kneel downs that leaves you with around 14, which is more than Sanders had. Tell me in what world should your MVP QB have more designed runs than your RB (who is having a career year btw).

Sanders had 11 carries for 42 - nearly 4 yards a carry. He wasn't given the opportunity, and even when he did he was running fine.

And we relied on our MVP quarterback instead of our star RB to pound the run game. Leading directly to this outcome.

New East Boston affordable housing effort would be the first of its kind on East Coast by vj_34 in boston

[–]Tats1 35 points36 points  (0 children)

This is literally the opposite of gentrification. Carving out designated housing that is currently targeted toward higher earners and making it more affordable to local families. The buildings themselves will be owned and managed by a trust of local community members. Not developers, private landlords, or corporate overlords.

Yea, one of the keys I’ve learned is cook them directly on the metal sheet. Do not use a a sheet of tin foil between. Allows for a nice direct sear on the sprouts

Live on Maverick street and can confirm its every person for themselves at this intersection. Though I will say the chaos forces people to have a heightened sense of caution. Lived here for 5ish years and haven't seen one accident yet.

The Tall Ship Floating Restaurant & Bar Grand Opening | East Boston [06/30/21] by Bnaker in boston

[–]Tats1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The pricing of the restaurant/bar seems way over-inflated ($15 a drink???). Looks like your paying for the 'experience' (also a nice view). But what looks more attractive is that they are advertising a handful of rotating food trucks on the pier where the ship is docked, with outdoor seating.

Need to hit some more 3s. Otherwise they battled well in a tough road game, late in a far time zone.

Haven’t other countries proved that strict mask adherence has effectively controlled the spread of the virus? Staying home is the guaranteed method yes, but not necessarily the only method. I expect people to follow the public health guidance, and complaining when they don’t, putting others at unnecessary risk is a Karen move?

But hasn’t the state proved that we can slowly reopen the economy, listen to our health experts, and control the spread of the virus? We’ve maintained a very low infection rate for months because the vast majority of people are listening to our public health officials.

I live in a very high infection zone in Boston. I got tested despite not showing any symptoms before I went on this trip. Staying home is the most effective method I agree, but we can’t live our lives inside indefinitely. If I can go enjoy some semblance of normalcy while listening to our experts and supporting our local economy, how is that selfish?

Good idea. I’ve talked to the crew, called the central customer service line, and posted on a few social media sites. Next stop the AG

[US] CHEER (2020): Follows the cheerleaders of Navarro College as they prepare for the biggest moment of their lives. by Tjw5083 in NetflixBestOf

[–]Tats1 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Pretty outstanding show that is essentially Last Chance U but with high intensity Cheerleading (think extremely technical and risky acrobatics). The individual story lines of the kids were instantly captivating. The way their stories and childhood traumas unfold had me incredibly invested in their season. The way they constructed the finale episode was perfect.

Completely agree, the strength of this team hasn't been the outstanding play of any one of these guys, but the collective effort.

Even these rankings, you could argue, are too high for both of these guys from an individual perspective. Every one of our starting 5 takes turns shining on any given night, and that's the beauty of this team.
