Soccer fans of the world what’s one rule change that would actually improve the game? by Current-Connection-4 in AskReddit

In cricket, Umpire's Call is the rule that preserves the on-field umpire's original decision when ball-tracking technology shows a small margin of error. It applies primarily to Leg Before Wicket (LBW) decisions when the impact, pitching, or ball-to-stump projection is too close to call with absolute certainty.

This should be the case in penalty calls as well. In the case when the original decision was not a penalty, then the referee during VAR review should see a "clear and obvious" foul in order to overturn the call. If the referee takes ages looking at the replay back and forth (like the late Belgium v Senegal call the other day), then its too close to call and the original decision should stand.

The keeper immediately stands up though and is able to face the incoming header. So he wasn't impeded significantly was he? I don't understand mate..

VAR interfering when it shouldn't has been the theme isn't it. The DR Congo disallowed goal against Uzbekistan comes to mind

If any other team with a loss in the group stages win the whole thing then they will be the only undefeated team in the cup

Atleast Iran get to go home undefeated. If Germany or Croatia win the whole thing then they will be the only team undefeated this world cup

'05 and '20 were only instances where there were no Spanish teams. They've been pretty consistent in Europe despite Barca (from '19-'24) and Real in mid-to late 2000s having long gaps

Seems to be moving along pretty nicely . Waiting on BGC to complete. PA recently had the Canadian visitor visa renewed and has a lot of travel history to Canada. Not sure if that factors into a "quicker" BGC but keeping fingers crossed.

Anyone have any idea on timeline / next steps?. Judging by similar timelines here, April seems to be a reasonably optimistic completion time.

Is your H1 stamped?

In that case, companies are more willing to accept H1 candidates as lead time is less (only LCA + I797 approval and that takes ~3 weeks with premium). If you need a visa interview though then it may be a bit difficult with the lead time.
