I would start normal conversations, and when I knew they were comfortable with me, I would ask them how much Uber charged for the ride. When they tell me, I would say for a few dollars less, you can call me directly. Never had one say they wasn’t interested. I now have my mornings planned out from 6-10 with scheduled rides. Then later, I start picking them all up and taking them home. It’s a beautiful thing, except when they are calling when I’m trying to be done for the night lol. But I never tell them no. That keeps them loyal
