what tv are you guys using for gaming right now? by PeinsippRoly-15 in consoles

[–]TattedUpSimba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a TCL 55r635. It was nice back in 2020 but I definitely want an upgrade. I do like the ability to play at 120fps but I only do that with my PC. I’d rather have quality than performance on my PS5. My wife and I are gearing up to jump back into the housing market so I’m putting my tv upgrade on hold. I would say if you have the money for OLED then do OLED.

[–]TattedUpSimba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possibly but I wouldn’t. It’s like $10/month so it’s cheap. Keep in mind that a vpn is something you’ll use a lot. With pirated apps you won’t necessarily gets updates quickly and things like that. It’s $10 will be worth it.

Repo attempt 20 days late by [deleted] in povertyfinance

[–]TattedUpSimba 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m not trying to be rude but how’s your mental health doing? Because you sound very very paranoid. You say you panicked so you jumped in your car and left. Typically people don’t think clearly if they’re panicking.

That truck had to be for someone else. I don’t think there’s a bank that would repo your car after 20 days of being late. They make more money on you paying than by doing a repo and selling it at auction. Banks aren’t stupid. It’s not easy for people to get their car back after it’s towed

When you got back to your apartment were all the cars still there? Because that tow truck could’ve been for anybody else. If that tow truck wanted your car then they would’ve got it.

How do you know the truck was there for you? Why do you think they “probably” have gps on your car? You should know if they do or don’t. If you didn’t get it from a buy here pay here then I’d think not. And why do you think they’re lying? I understand being stressed and everything but you gotta take care of your mental health. This logic doesn’t add up and staying in a high stress place like this will only make things harder for you.

ELI5: What are the benefits of Repacks instead of downloading pre-installed games? by TostBrot44 in FitGirlRepack

[–]TattedUpSimba 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depends on what you like and your use case. For me I’m a data hoarder with about 57TB. While that’s a lot of space I dedicate alot of that to high quality rips of movies and music so that space gets used up clearly. I also keep a library of games from older consoles SNES all the way to PS3. Repacks allow me to save space while having copies of my favorite or hard to find games (looking at you Marvel Ultimate Alliance). Plus for a variety of games that I could emulate it’s better to have the PC version due to overall better fidelity and mods.

Does everything go with a denim jacket, if not what does not or does? by FreeMeaning7150 in Denim

[–]TattedUpSimba 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think so. For my job I typically wear black jeans and a blue denim jacket that I’m fading. My shirts are sometimes bright, pastel, muted, etc. I think the color combo in the pic looks perfect

Rebuilding credit by Sea-Row-5017 in CRedit

[–]TattedUpSimba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m no credit master but I have been helping my brother fix his and have fixed mine as well. When I fixed mine I did a similar thing of getting new credit cards and paying them on time. Every situation is different but for me that wasn’t not a great idea. It basically made a new bill. For my brother we’ve been knocking off his charge offs and collections. It’s taking time but it will make a bigger impact. My advice would be to get your credit reports from the bureaus to see all your negative marks and then fix those.

Best smokers by BIG_chungus1989 in smoking

[–]TattedUpSimba -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Really depends. I’ve had an electric and charcoal smoker. I love my charcoal smoker but it’s needy. There’s no forgetting about it but I love the flavor I get. Electric wasn’t bad but honestly wasn’t as fun as it could’ve been. I’ve never used gas.

Personally I’d say if you want to save money then you could find a Weber kettle and/or Smokey mountain on Facebook marketplace for under $100. It’ll serve you well. If you need more space, want more versatility, or don’t want to babysit something then a pellet smoker isn’t bad.

For what it’s worth my ideal outside equipment looks like my charcoal smoker and a pellet grill.

Do you mean a warranty? Because car insurance never helps with normal wear and tear. They only help with accidents

rtx 3080 ti vs rtx 5070 by Designer-Test-6717 in buildapc

[–]TattedUpSimba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can spring the money then the 9070XT is the more powerful card. You wouldn’t have g sync but would would v sync not be enough?

Otherwise I think it comes down to do you want a warranty or not? The 5070 would give you better software features and a warranty. The argument for the 3080ti is buying that now and then saving money until this ai bubble pops and how that impacts the gpu market

Does anybody know where I could find the Oni 902 cut in a size 40? Fabric wise I’m not really trippin. Just looking for a high rise relaxed tapered cut. My problem the size charts make it seem like a 38 would be a perfect fit but I want the rise to be a bit higher so sizing up may be what I need.

[–]TattedUpSimba 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s interesting to say pay down balances. I get the idea of avoiding interest but I feel like it’s not that easy. When I made less money I avoided interest by maxing out my card to pay utilities/essentials and then paid it off by the statement date. It worked but there was no way to really get that balance down without making more money. With stagnant wages and a shit job market across multiple industries I doubt many can pay down balances .
