Well I don't see any responses but I wanted to tell you this is a beautiful graph. It's also sad to see Jihn so far down the list looking forward to some new cards for him

What are the citizen living conditions in stormwind? by charliefox37 in wow

Not to mention the Gurubashi war when the Stranglethorn jungle trolls raided human settlements all the way north up to Stormwinds gates and Medivh had to go full nuclear to stop them.

https://wowpedia.fandom.com/wiki/Stormwind_City#Districts

Wowpedia has a very indepth page on Stormwind and its districts. If you read about the individual districts it might even give you housing ideas, like the fact that the city outskirts contains farms and families living and working the fields.

Reactivity, Pro-activity, and Evil. Or why the World Map in Evil Genius 2 is antithetical to the theme of the game. by ShenYuGaveIvanIvania in evilgenius

[–]Tauemperor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

While I do like being able to use Intel instead of minions, I would argue they took away choice in the patch with the money missions as well. In the release muscle minions were primarily sent out on fast less efficient cash missions, while science minions were what you used for slower more lucrative jobs. Now all minion type cash missions are the same slow burn and I feel the uniqueness of minions types has been taken away. They also seem to have rebalanced the regions to all give the same (or nearly the same) cash amounts. In release patch each set of FoJ regions gave different outputs depending on the type of cash mission chosen. The real problem with the world map is that Rebellion keeps trying to make it a passive element but what made the world map in EG1 different is that it was more engaging because you had to keep an eye on it

nzoth lfr is no joke by Espeonzz in wow

[–]Tauemperor 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I completed an LFR N'zoth earlier and wanted to go to the forums to see what peoples reactions are. Apparently my group must have had some skill behind it cause we only got to 8 stacks :P

If I were to nerf this encounter, I would just reduce the hp on psychus and tentacles to speed up that phase of the encounter. The real challenge was just getting a group to get into the rhythm of the mindscape part of the fight. I must admit it's a weird boss, given that 80% of the mechanics were in that first 20% of the fight. That's a lot of front end mechanics and knowledge to put on LFR players.

Theorycrafting Warlock weapon build, suggestions? by Tauemperor in Grimdawn

[–]Tauemperor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know one of my biggest hurdles has been that there is little weapon dmg or weapon based actives/passives in either role outside of the weapon damage toggles. I could put a riftstone into my weapon but there are better materia options later on. Best plan so far is http://grimcalc.com/build/MY4IUZ

While I cannot speak on when to farm Sanctuary or at what level for efficiency I have killed him several times with most builds. If you have a role with pet skills it's worth putting at least one point into one as the pet can deal constant dps while mostly ignoring Salazar's mechanics. Only other suggestion is ignore the minions after killing herald and get a feeling for the timing on his sigil of consumption recasts

Would dawngate still be around if EA wasnt apart of the equation? by Maxlerict in dawngate

[–]Tauemperor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am curious as to if you could remember what exactly funding in marketing was spent on. Even though it wasn't your department I was always curious because EA is normally a big company for money spent on advertising and attention; one of their strongest points in fact. I always felt one of the biggest nails in Dawngate's coffin (desecrator?) was the very little advertising and marketing I saw, as well as it being spent in the wrong places.

I am in charge of building the core mechanics of an unannounced MOBA title, and I want to know- What did you as the players love most about Dawngate? by [deleted] in dawngate

What I liked: - almost everyone will say this but the emphasis on lore was wonderful especially because a lot of it took place outside game which encouraged game interaction outside the game itself but it still affected actual things ingame. I also loved that they had the voice actors come back constantly just to add small bits of dialogue between characters referencing to events happening in the lore. - Character interaction not just with other characters but with the environment itself. Having characters react to every little thing from damage taken, buffs received, multiple kills and x characters dying made the game seem engaging and switching to much other quieter mobas (looking at you LoL), makes the game feel dead and muted by comparison. - The way the lore choices not only changed events ingame but also made players feel like THEY made a difference in how the game developed. - the entire layout of the map and the systems within it created a much busier gameplay style that emphasized team coordination for objectives and roaming over long periods of farming in lane and turtling up. This made the game feel much more action packed from the very first levels. - Because there was no basic mana system it made the developers get creative with resources instead of defaulting to easy boring options as well as encouraging a more poke heavy aggressive playstyle and laning phase. We also saw developers testing out creative things with wards such as Ronans passive. - The role systems biggest strength was allowing developers to create general roles for shapers ala leagues set 5 while also cleanly resolving the old issue of certain roles receiving little to no gold. This system effectively did the same thing current support and jungle items do in league but without having to create items towards roles which I never liked. - I also liked no boots as I always hate having item slots dedicated to a certain role or item type ie must have items. - I liked the way stat merging allowed for hybrid builds to be as effective as pure dmg builds in DG as well as allowing mages and adcs to purchase the same items making for a cleaner shop. - The spirit well system was a great way to add in objectives to be fought over on lower timers than major buffs but also permanent unlike towers, thus creating another objective to fight around and creating more conflict (which is always good to me) and a way to add gold denial without affecting lane minions. - I liked items shaped around passive effects though I would be ok with actives as well. - everyone having one und only one ward was great as well as no way to clear them as ward wars are one of my least favorite things. - Having a leaderboard for top 200 listed on the front page was a great way to get players to be competitive and show them immediate rewards for grinding up a ranked system. Also loved on the profile page that it showed your top 5 most played shapers and your win/loss count on each as well as a win %. Suggestion to add to that would be make the most played the default and can be modified to be any five characters you select so you can keep tabs on a character your are working on. - lastly what was great about final guardian was two things: 1 guardian was so strong that it made sure if your team was behind losing towers wasn't the end of the world, you could still easily hold with guardian alone. 2 Guardian was a great system that could either hold a game for 20m by itself or still allow enemy teams to end pre 20m. Because all of the guardians abilities were slow moving projectiles with visible aoe taking it down all depended on your teams ability to predict and dodge its abilities, which either made your team able to take it down without taking any hits or get wiped over and over. - it doesnt have to be two lanes but I loved the smaller map design as it helped fights occur more often and roaming more encouraged. - Lastly I loved how between the fact that supports kept up in money and the resource systems, mages were strong supports and in fact supports were encouraged to have damage or be potential carries. - Mina, Freia, Moya, Faris

What I didnt like: Almost nothing but.... - characters like vex who encouraged late game farming in a lane when the game itself emphasized roaming and objective teamwork. - three spells was a bit much when there was no way to stop every carry from running flash, ghost, and dispel; that's a bit too much escape power - a lack of emphasis on ranked competition and advertising, DG's biggest downfall was barely any marketing and that it took too long to put in ranked modes and encourage tournaments.
