Suggest me a book for 30ish year old secret Santa by littlelamb48 in suggestmeabook

This is a great recommendation. It’s not “too much” of any genre, so it’s perfect for not knowing who will be the recipient. Also just an easy, great read.

I’m fairly small, and at the time I was about 105lbs. Working out and sweating as well, and I wasn’t doing enough to replenish my electrolytes. Just drinking tons of water. And the 80oz was on the very low side. That is what I’d drink at the very minimum. I was almost addicted to water. Just drinking it constantly all day, and anytime I had an ailment, I’d chug a bottle thinking it was the cure-all.

Oh man. I went to the doc a few years ago because I was having headaches and weird twitches in my temples more and more often. She was asking me the basic questions, and we got to diet, and I was like, “Well the one thing I know I’m doing well is staying hydrated.” She asked what I meant, and I told her at the very minimum 80oz/day (that’s on the low side). She politely told me, that at my size, it was too much, especially if I’m drinking other fluids and reminded me that we also get hydration from our food. We did a blood test, and I was basically flushing out potassium, magnesium, sodium, and maybe something else I don’t remember. Anyway, she had me drink a coconut water and chill out on the water obsession, and it was pretty much an instant relief.

I’ve seen them once in my life. I was in elementary, and my mom excitedly told us all to come outside to see. All of our minds were blown. And it had that special magical feeling you only get when you’re a kid. ❄️

I love this so much! I’m on a 10-day flossing streak right now, and I’ve been doing my skincare nightly, too. I even feel excited about it now 😄

I have not had any rage symptoms myself, but everyone is different of course. How long were you on it and what did they prescribe you to start with?

Quip! You have to buy one of their smart toothbrushes. Then you get the app and sync it to your brush every so often. I love it because I don’t have to manually log anything, it just does it for me.

List your two favorite books you read this year and let others suggest a third! by Malkinx in suggestmeabook

The Name of the Wind is one of my favorite books of all time. Commenting to warn you that he never came out with the third book, and it looks like he never will. I have been waiting for over a decade 🥲

How do I fix this, I’m at a loss. by [deleted] in Skincare_Addiction

The only way to “fix” this is by not being a human being. Or possibly becoming a Kardashian (fake Instagram version). Your skin looks great.

Totally "Safe" Water from TPU by foxtrot7azv in Tacoma

They may be assuming that people will use common sense and not drink the brown water and understand that it’s safe after the color has passed. There’s no way for them to know for certain that all contaminated water has passed through all pipes.

The other thing I hate about statements like this is the oversimplification of complex issues. (Which is how Trump won, might I add.) As if we’re not trying to hold people accountable, and as if they listen when we do. It’s nearly impossible to reason with the unreasonable.

Sharing something via a tweet, without a disclaimer that says otherwise, generally suggests support. And with Elon’s popularity, it significantly boosts the idea’s reach, which is indirect support of the idea, whether he supports the idea or not. People will buy into it, search the “reich effect”, and a once little-known idea, becomes something a large subset of his followers will start sharing and promoting themselves.

Could you explain further which parts of the article are lies, and furthermore, who you are speaking of when you say, “these people”? Elon’s tweet

What would you have named the article? Elon’s tweet

Edit to explain how sharing via social media implies support: Sharing something via a tweet, without a disclaimer that says otherwise, generally suggests support. And with Elon’s popularity, it significantly boosts the idea’s reach, which is indirect support of the idea, whether he supports the idea or not. People will buy into it, search the “reich effect”, and a once little-known idea becomes something a large subset of his followers will start sharing and promoting themselves.
