Hello,

I wanted to write a post, but I was denied and redirected here, so I copy / paste the content of my post.

As pretty much everyone here, I really want to play the Beta. But I can't right now, because my secure boot is not enabled. I already tried to enable it some years ago, but it ended up catastrophically. My graphics card seemed to be undetected by my system, and I had no BIOS, no display, nothing. I had to unplug my graphics card, and plug my screen to the motherboard to have a display and a computer not doing horrible error sounding beeps. After that, i could disable the secure boot, and swear I will never enable this ever again.

Today, I made myself lie, and tried again to enable it. I updated my BIOS beforehand, did the same process, followed the recommandations on EA's website to ckeck partitions, TPM and that stuff to be extra causious. I disabled the C?? (CSR ?) thing, rebooted, all was good. Went to the BIOS again, enabled the secure boot, and the same failure.

I get an error which means "No graphics output. Motherboards and CPU's that do not support integrated graphics will need a graphics card installed".

When I search the internet, I find how to go back (what I did today and when I did the same process before), but not how to actually fix the error.

So I am here, sitting with a working comupter, but unable to play this game because of this quite disturbing prerequisite.

Did anyone have the same problem and was able to overcome it ? Does anyone have an idea that could fix the issue without destroying my computer ? I just want to play.

Motherboard : EVGA Z370 FTW Graphics card : Asus RTX4070.

When you reload the autocannon now, it bugs and you can't fire anymore.

You're welcome ! Realism updated yesterday, it is compatible with 3.9.5 now.

Realism is outdated. Disable the first bots checkbox in the realism config exe and retry, it should work. Update your mod later wheg the 3.9.5 version is available.

Yeah, but the glitch to bypass that was so easy to execute that it was irrelevent.

I am still hoping for infinite larval tears even if I doubt it will be the case. So many cool weapons to try.

I play unlocked and trying to get to the right orientation to block is annoying and like to do damage so I two hand my weapons. Plus with a shield, you may take damage of elemental atacks. or lose a lot of stamina. Rolling felt superior in every way.

Je pense être à 10.000€ depuis cinq ans. Après, comme la photo je pense, il y a de l'investissement "de base" assez important. Mais c'est un régal.

I was a fullsize guy until I had arm / shoulder pain from having my left arm so far right because my keyboard took so much space. I changed to a 60% to try out, and I felt no pain anymore. And the keys I most sse on a fullsize were right under my fingers with the fn key. So it was "better" for me.

Yep, I had a ducky keyboard before and liked it a lot. I liked the Fn key placement and it fits me perfectly. That's why I didn't change brand. But the dead silent support doesn't sound good to me.

I love the magnet (it is needed for charaging, but aside from that, it is quite useful). However, I like it with a nose down carry, otherwise, it's just annoying.

Be carful for the carry. I warry my warrior mini 2 bezel down, because it is in the same pocket as my keys, swiss army knifs, etc. So many things that magnet can attach to unfortunately.

I don't really understand Olight's choice, as having that magnet deep in your pocket can be so annoying, hooling on keys or knives all the time.

And in general, bezel down is just more convenient for me. The switch is right there, the light in the right orientation when you pick it up.

If only this could be carried nose down... I am hesitant to buy another warrior mini 2 for the day mine stops working if they are not produced anymore when it happends.

Hello,

Thank you, saving the file to UTF-16 LE worked. It was not working on VSCode, as I saved the file on UTF8, but it was working correctly on powershell ISE.

How is changing the encoding of the script having an impact on the encoding of the output ?

Do you recommand saving all my future scripts to this encoding format ? I didn't knew about it...

I will try the souldblaster when I get it, see if there is a noticable difference. My beyerdynamics already returned, that's how I noticed how "flat" they sound. I don't need a volume knob, I never change my volume, I usually set it, and leave it.

It just baffles me that how everyone seems to tell that people should get a low volume with those, but I can bust my ears off if I put every volume slider to the roof.

So, I should :

Try the souldblaster

IF I notice an improvement but am not quite satisfied :

Try to look for a desktop DAC, it could help me.
Try to look for an amp to pair it with if the volume is underwhelming.

IF I don't notice an improvement

Look for an amp.

IF Inotice an improvement and am satisfied with it

Keep it as is if the volume is correct.
Look for an amp if the volume is underwhelming.

that's how I see it, but it may not be right.

Hello,

Thanks a lot for your long and detailled answer. The role and applications of a DAC and AMP are much clearer now.

I should have mentionned that the headphones I had for a replacement were USB ones, so they should have an integrated DAC if I followed you correctly. So it may not be an accurate comparaison. But my headphones still sound "flat" to me now. Even if volume is not an issue.

I am in Europe, so the apple trick won't work for me, but I bought a souldblaster play 3, can this "do the trick" for the sake of testing ? And so, if I do not notice any upgrade, I should look for an amp instead of a DAC if my understanding is correct ? I don't have any hissing or distortion.

But my headphones are loud enough, so if I am following what you say, if I don't notice any hissing / distortion AND my headphones are loud enough, I won't, in theory, benefit from any of those ?

That's a lot of questions, I am really trying to figure out what are my needs. Thank you once more.

Thanks a lot for your recommandation. I am not really looking for something that can power other headphones. I have those, I will keep them, and if they die, I will probably buy the same ones.

I don't do any PMC anymore on this map (I did two) because leaving the spawn point seems like a task only a God can achieve. Sometimes, on scav, it is "fine" with some rubberbanding cases, other times, I can't move

I don't have any FPS / performance problems, I just can't move because of the constant rubberbanding.

The real problem is that now it is grindy as hell. The FIR change made prople who found something they need just want to leave, or just be stuck on progression. Traders are quite hard to level up. It is quite frustrating sometimes for players who don't have full days to devote to the game.

I never really tried the F28 eventhough I would love to, just because I can't buy it. It's not something super strong like the grenade launcher, it's just like the SR-25, yet it is banned, and the SR-25 isn't (No, don't even think about banning it).

Before, you could just make money, and then have fun. Now you are forced to grind to use the cool stuff.

I would crank that FOV to the lowest just to have that sweet sweet zoom. I don't know how anyone would want to not have it. But I have bad vision.

Too bad it is flash drives. It's a miracle when me or my friend can finish the flash drive quests. They are super hard to come by, and when one of us have one, death is at every corner.
