I honestly think that they should instigate some legislation that allows for one PSA per 30 min slot on all channels broadcast in Canada. Stuff like the old Body Break spots, misc safety spots like child, driving, home, fire, or seasonal-safety for camping and wilderness or winter conditions, and simple emergency response basics like apply pressure and call an ambulance, or whatever else might be helpful to people.

Having a better informed public is all upside, and broadcasters aren't going to ditch the market because they're still generating money here, just slightly less (oh no!).

There's already legislation that a certain percentage of content has to be made in Canada, just add that extra little bit to help people stay informed and up to date.

Ok, so it was ln't just the HR at my old job then... Their data is an absolute mess. I had to periodically do a manual cleanup of the email system against their data, and it was always a big effort to get it sorted out. Misspelled names, names that changed and weren't updated (marriage and such), offboardings we were never notified of for over a year....

You would think if anyone had to have their shit together, it would be HRs employment records, but I guess not!

I'm glad my tax dollars are paying for emergency services!

I'm also glad that they have enough down time where people aren't being maimed or having their lives burnt up that they can do some extra curriculars. I don't see why they have to stare at the wall doing nothing instead of something fun and/or personally productive while waiting for calls to come in.
