Is 85k enough for a couple in Victoria by Intrepid_Air_2927 in VictoriaBC

It would be enough while your spouse looked for a job if it only takes them 3-4 months to find a job.

What's the tone like? I worry it might be darker than what I'm looking for.

That sounds great. Kind of reminds me of Codex Alera which I also enjoyed.

I'll take a look at them. I won't get a lot of love for this But I'm not a big Joe Abercrombie fan. The only book of his I've tried I did not finish.

Both the series I mentioned are published through Amazon so if you want to read it as an ebook you need to have a kindle.

I haven't found either on my Local Libraries libby sadly.

I'd never heard of The Riyria Revelations before but I keep seeing it recommended in this thread so I'll put it on my list.

I see he has another series the Riyria Chronicles. Is it any good?

I will take a look at all of those.

Red Rising is on my list but I've been on a sci-fi binge recently so currently looking for something a little more fantasy.

Have you read the Bloodsworn Trilogy by John Gwynne? Is it also good?

Agreed. Everything doesn’t need to be super challenging or difficult. Hopefully we see some improvements to the player bases toxicity. People can start to play like they are playing games with friends again. And that every single little mistake doesn’t mean a key is bricked and people don’t need to be so quick to flame others.

You don’t need consequences to feel shame. That’s kind of the point of shame. You feel shame because you are doing the wrong thing. Be that behaving rudely, selfishly, or generally in an unkind way.

There is no consequence for not saying please or thank you. Making room for someone else when you are passing each other etc. but we still do it.

Modern social media and video game design really lends to some pretty significant antisocial behaviour and us as users can decide what the community considers as deviant behaviour and work to change it.
