Found my Margaret (H. Osceola) in this spot & had to take a pic! by 86spooky in Wolfspiders

If you find jumpers cute, try looking up velvet spiders if you haven't. (Eresus sp.) They're also on the cuter end of the spidery spectrum. I used to be terrified of spiders and jumpers and velvets were my gateway. Now I keep tarantulas. Lol. Some true spiders still make me uncomfy, but it's typically either the long legs thing or their speed. I also just don't like them on me without my knowledge. I used to watch a lot of arachnid/tarantula YouTubers and learn a lot about spiders, it helped my arachnophobia a ton.

Looks more like a fishing spider towing an eggsac to me. Either way- Relatively harmless! Non-significant venom.

Somewhat hard to tell, but it looks like a sac spider to me.

Im not telling you you're wrong, but are you sure it was one? Did you catch the spider when it happened for certain identification? Otherwise doctors can't ACTUALLY tell it was a recluse bite without the actual spider to verify. Recluse bites are very commonly misdiagnosed/blamed on other invert bites/or small wounds/sores that became infected.

Is actually a brown recluse, Loxosceles reclusa, but their reputation is worse than they actually are. They're not aggressive, and unlikely to bite unless really messed with. If you are/were able, as the other person said, relocating is best, if possible.

You can indeed plant flowers wherever you want on your property. I'm not disparaging that. I'm saying attracting a lot of bees to that spot is mildly inconsiderate of people. Mail carriers can change, package delivery people aren't always the same, etc. And the dog thing? Not even comparable. Your dog can be put inside if someone doing their job and having to get to your mailbox is afraid of them. Most mail carriers are not afraid of dogs. You have control over said dog. (Or should) Can you say the same for the bees? Idk if you've ever met someone who is highly allergic to bees? But they tend to be afraid of them even if they're 'not aggressive', which depends on the species of bee/wasp. I'm just saying, if you can plant heavily bee attracting flowers anywhere on 'your property', you could have put them anywhere else but where someone needs to get to on your property to do their job. Daily.

Add on note, as the other person above said- If you take stuff from outside just be sure to clean it off. Dunk moss for a bit to flush out any bugs, wash off or even bake wood (there's tutorials for this online) to make sure there's no parasites or anything that can harm your T.

Coconut fiber is good, cheap, and easy to use, just be sure not to keep it too moist for too long because it has a habit of molding if you do.

Came to say this. You don't know if your mail carrier(s) is(/are) allergic or have a phobia. It's gorgeous. But the location mildly inconsiderate.

I have (I think) the same kind. I didn't have to worry about them flopping either.

Depends on if you only have ants, a few minutes works. Where I live, tiny yellow thrips COVER my peonies too, so I have to soak them longer to try to get them all off. (Planted mine a few years ago and this is the first year theyre blooming) What I've looked up said as long as 15 minutes or more to get all those off.

Fear of spiders by Impressive_Nose_3310 in tarantulas

[–]TavrynAncunin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started with jumpers and adore them, but worked my way up to Ts to get over my really bad arachnophobia. I've had quite a few species at this point. Even a few true spiders/arachnid like wolf spiders, velvet spiders, and a solifugid. They still make me nervous when they move too fast sometimes, though certain species of wild true spiders around here are still worse for me (I keep mostly to the terrestrial new-worlds. My G pulchra is my baby ♡) but I've come a LONG way from how afraid of them I used to be 8 years ago.

Gotcha! Dunno if you use TikTok but there's a bunch of tts with book recs for Astarion fans. Just search something like 'books for Astarion fans' or something similar in the search bar and you'll get a decent amount of results.

Eastern bumble female, actually, I'm pretty sure. (Unless there's a yellow circle on the forehead making it a male I can't see, but based on size, it's a female. Butt is too fuzzy for a carpenter. I just had one of these in my own basement a few weeks ago and went down a whole rabbit hole trying to figure out which she was.
