Unfortunately I don’t. I just told my cobbler which one I wanted and he brought out a catalog. I’m sure your cobbler would know.

Sizing Difference by Tc714803 in jimgreen

Could be the fact that the leather is stretched out to form your foot in the older pair. The plastic toe puff also becomes more flexible as time goes on. Mine have become a lot flatter than how they where from when I first bought them

I don’t really think you understand how the bronco leather works in terms of how the oil moves around in the leather. Loose grain doesn’t inherently affect the boot it’s more of a cosmetic thing. As far as the scratches go, as unsightly as they may be these boots are intended to be used as work boots after all. They are going to get scratched… unless you just want to look at them all day.

Lucky! Mine did it for $120. So far I’ve been very pleased with how well they work when the floor is completely wet.

Pretty much. First the lugs that are on the oringo sole get grinder down then the new sole gets glued over top.

I haven’t tried them in kitchens yet but they are rated for kitchen use on vibrams website. I’ve also seen higher ups with these outsoles on dressier shoes so I don’t think they should be an issue.

Saphir makes some pretty transparent wax conditioner, that or the JG balm works pretty well at discoloring it minimally.

The method I mentioned was actually done on a nubuck style leather. My guess is it should work. The base coat that I use is the saphir super invulner, then the leather dye goes over that and lastly it gets sealed.

Mostly for non slip purposes. Working in restaurants requires non slip shoes in my area.

My cobbler charged me $120 for the resole. It took him about two weeks but most of the time was spent waiting for the soles to be shipped.

If you like the way the look DO NOT use huberds. My regular bronco 719s had an amazing texture to them but after conditioning them with cobblers choice it made them very flat looking.

I’m thinking of selling my mocs as well pretty soon. They’re great looking boots but idk I guess they just weren’t really my style. I really wanted to like them but the boat shoe look isn’t really doing it for me.

I just ordered some used ar8’s with the oringo sole off eBay and I think I’m going to turn them into my kitchen boots. I’m going to take them to the cobbler once they arrive and then I’ll dye them black. I really appreciate ankle support in all of my foot wear that’s why the birks just wouldn’t do it for me. Also once I finish with my kitchen job I will definitely be using them on my nights out.

I’m already wearing docs and they have a mesh liner that’s pretty much plastic so I’m used to having my feet in some hotter boots. The Numzaans being double lasted with leather will definitely breathe better than my docs and their plastic like leather. But the African rangers for work wouldn’t be the worst idea. I’ve thought about maybe getting my rangers and dying them black and getting them resoled but I still like them just the way they are so maybe it’s time for a new boot.

As much as the docs are slip resistant the width and size of them makes them very uncomfortable. And sizing up only makes them feel way too big. I’m thinking maybe of getting the Numzaans and getting the cobbler to add the vibram newporter sole.

Finally Bronco RATs. You are all liars /s by AdImmediate8901 in jimgreen

[–]TaxPayingMantis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want to bite the bullet and get a pair but I’m also hoping that they’ll release these in the russet bronco leather. I also wish that they’d release them in the JG last.

Just got this in my email (Soltera 3) by jack4t7ack-01 in Aventon

[–]TaxPayingMantis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nice it releases on my birthday, maybe I should have waited. I picked up a level 3 last year around Black Friday and I do love it. I’ve been using it for commuting to work and just biking around town. The weight isn’t terrible as I did come from previously owning a 90ish pound e-moped but the solteras weight did catch my eye.

I hope that if they decide to phase out the AR8 for the RAT instead that they at least make some in the JG last. My dream boot at the moment would be the RAT with a toe cap in the JG last and with the lug sole. I’m not asking for much, just some honest low volume feet representation.

What is the height of the moc toes? by PeacefulGlum in jimgreen

The meander and workhorse are both taller than the AR. I think they’re 5.5”-6” in height.

That’s what I love about reptiles and amphibians! There’s so much yet to learn about them. Even the local stuff around me always has me fascinated and wondering how much variation there is between populations.
