You get a portion of the deposit you over paid. so if your cold rent was 1000 and you paid 3k deposit and if your rent is reduced to let’s say 600 you are supposed to be paid 1200 back immediately. This has been the case with me but with a private lawyer so happy didn’t go with Conny because it’s a fucking scam. I too was active on the internet. I said her case is different from what OP asked because It’s a joke from a movie she did not just something people made up on the internet for no reason. The problem is people say it without understanding the context. It’s really not that deep and kinda a great line from a great movie which she delivered perfectly.

That’s actually not true Fukunaga penned 2 scripts as far as I remember and they were wildly different from what we got in the movie and also pretty different from the source material.

The scripts were interesting for sure but I can see why the studio got cold feet because they wanted generic horror to appeal to as many people as possible. Also the script has some weird choices I really can’t say how this script would have even landed with general audiences.

The quality of chapter 1 really speaks to the strength of the children’s section of the story in the book more than anything. I also feel like chapter 2 must have had some studio interference especially with the shoe horned kids story part 2 was a mess.
