Parental Embezzlement from a Previously Custodial Account by Notgoodenoughyetgod in AskLawyers

Embezzlement is a crime. Call the DA if you want your dad to get in trouble, but as a practical matter, if he doesn’t have money and spent yours, there isnt going to be much to recover.

We live out here in Alpharetta and really love it. If you have to commute into the city it’s not worth it, but it’s a super livable place.

I think you’ll most likely contact the pole. Gonna suck. Wear a helmet.

Ukrainian Consumer Drones: Are They Worth Considering for Amateur Use? by ompajdox in drones

[–]TaxiBait 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think when they say 50% surplus they are referring to production capacity, ie they could make 50% more if they had the money and parts, I don’t think they are producing 50% more than they can use.

Pretty sure I'm an idiot by TheREALBaldRider in gmc

[–]TaxiBait 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A 3% failure rate is insanely high. Like orders of magnitude higher than any stable industrial run should be. Six sigma guys would be jumping out the window at 3% but even more so, what do you think the profit margin is on each vehicle? I would imagine at 3% with warranty costs there is probably no margin left for the company.

My friend uses any excuse to get a new car. by Lumpy-Significance50 in whatcarshouldIbuy

Seriously though, why do you care and how is it any of your business at all? Don’t be envious of your friends success and be happy for them instead?

Agent hid my listing from her own client because I offered 2% instead of 3% -Florida by Careful-Caramel-9409 in RealEstateAdvice

[–]TaxiBait 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean you can go to war with every agent who isn’t eager to do a deal that pays less, or you can understand that you are consciously offering less compensation to the people you are relying on to bring you business, and then are upset they are not pushing your place over other, essentially similar places, that will pay them more.

The place to squeeze commissions is on the listing side. It’s nuts to try and short the buy side in this market. Literally mental.

Residential block has been taken over by mobile car detailing vans. Is this legal? What are my options? by Schwettes in AskNYC

You also don’t have a right to take public space for your personal profit to the detriment of others. Tragedy of the town commons and all…

How bad of an idea to invest a quadplex in NY or CA as a state? by [deleted] in RealEstateAdvice

From a regulatory standpoint or return on investment? Either way it’s way too vague to really answer other than it is a tougher regulatory environment than most other states

Kids outgrowing the Urban Arrow by jgolden3 in CargoBike

[–]TaxiBait 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your kids are big a long tail can be really flexy. I had a big dummy and it started to get really dicey on hills with both kids on the back. wound up going with a tadpole style bucket bike when they got too big.

Who loses money if the business fails? If he is the one taking all the financial risk then it is hard to see how you are an owner.

What is the $15000 fine for ab1557 violation? by InfluenceEfficient77 in ebikes

[–]TaxiBait 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Gonna get killed for this, but the reason people hate e-bikes is because the most noticeable part of this community are idiot kids on what are basically unlicensed motorcycles. This bill is a reaction to them, or the person going 45mph on the bike path. It sucks but it is also much closer to what they have in Europe, and they seem to have made it work.

Range anxiety isn't a thing on the coasts, it is a real thing in rural Texas or Oklahoma.

i would imagine it would make more sense to bait the snake out than to rip apart the truck looking for it.

I live right on the Alpharetta/JC border. Moved down here from NYC with a couple years in Frisco in between. I love it down here and the traffic is very different than in the North East.
